Somewhere to do 30k maint?
 

So, I have the parts to do my 30k service, if I were back home in StL with my garage, I'd just toss it up on ramps and go to town. Unfortunately here in Chi I live in an apartment, so I can't really do that in my parking spot.

Anyone know a trustworthy shop that will do this stuff if I bring them the materials for cheap? Otherwise, anyone have suggestions on somewhere just to get space and access to do it myself?

Yeah? I'm expecting a dealership to charge an awful lot for this. I know Evanston Subaru wants something around $500 for it.

I would love for someone to show me a place in OHIO that does not charge over $750 for the 30000 maint. for $500, thats cheap, damn you ohio!

500 is absurd, 750 is straight up robbery. A dealership can probably knock the whole thing out in 1 hour. A person on ramps/jack stands can do it in 2. It's about $100 in parts on top of that. I'd be willing to pay maybe $300 for the whole thing, parts+labor.

Nope, I have 2. The 2008 LGT that's for sale already had its 30k done. I have a 2009 SpecB that I need to do the 30k on now.

iv got a garage in buffalo grove and work in a shop in oak park. i used to work at doc ables up there in evanston.

go to rainbow muffler shop in ohio. ask for manny. tell him that austin from naperville sent ya. they are good with their pricing.

Better yet, Dave's Fluid Exchange and More in Pensacola Florida does all Subaru 30K maintenance for free, and they serve a complementary pancake breakfast before 10AM. Tell them Howard sent ya!
