Lots of people trading in their 2010 legacy..

I've been seeing lots of people moving away from the 2010 legacy this last year.
In my area I've seen few 2010 legacies already up for sale (used).
I think the car is great, yes the build is cheap (interior materials) but it still runs good.

I want to hear from the people that got rid of their legacy and the reason why they are getting rid of it.

Now I'd like to start this off.
I am done with payments by the end of this year for my legacy, and honestly I'd rather move to something faster, I still want to own another Subaru, but the current Legacy doesn't have enough power for me (2.5i :( )...
Depending on what Subaru does in 2012 I may move to an impreza wrx.

Try a LGT. Loving mine. What did you expect out of the base model?

I'd love to try an LGT, but I feel like it might not be worth it for me to move from the legacy 2.5i to an LGT.

You should probably drive one :)

It's 2 grand more than a wrx limited and is well over that price in refinement. Don't know what else to say. If you need awd then there really us no better option for performance comfort reliability price.

Where you happy with the performance of the 2.5i when you test drove/bought it?

If you want more power you really should try the GT, or at least the 3.6R.

Got a 2.5i and a 3.6R in the family and the 3.6R is way different power wise. BTW, the 2.5i was recently bought used because the previous owner got the wife knocked up and decided an outback was a compromise. Had tint, leather and remote start added. Nice.
Both 2010's are loved. We will probably keep them 8 years or more. I think you are just seeing cars that would have gotten traded after 1 year no matter what they were.

I'm was trying to get out of my LGT a few months ago and still am lingering around the possibility. But I and torn cause I love the car... and I also Love having extra money...

I would agree that out of the mid-sized four banger sedans the 2.5i is the least spirited.

Ultimately I wanted a LGT for the performance and the size/practicality, but I couldn't find one in my area. I test drove both the 2.5i and the 3.6R and instantly fell in love with the performance and refinement of the H6. The engine feels much bigger then the numbers suggest and I am never left wanting more power.

Don't think so. I used to rock an Audi A4 and was on the Audizine forums regularly.

what are u talking about?
those are 2 completely different cars!!! 170hp vs 265hp.. I hope you'r not judging by the look:eek:

ChasWG 04-12-2011 11:30 AM

Here's how you fix this mamby-pamby wishy washyness. Got get an Audi A4 2.0T and try modifying it out to the same level as a stage 1 LGT and then come and tell me which car was cheaper and easier to get more HP out of.

Stop being a whinner and get a LGT or a 3.6R and quit being a goof. There is no way that you'll be disapointed by the performance of either Legacy. The 2.5i CVT base model is basically gutless compaired to either of the forementioned cars. 265 HP from the LGT and 256 HP from the 3.6R, how can you even say that they are compairable to the 170HP of the 2.5i engine?
