I was talking with Brad at Subtle Solutions about a new '05-'09 Legacy specific radiator shroud similar to their design for the '08+ Impreza.

Colors offered: Brushed 304 Stainless, Powder Coated Fine Texture Black, Powder Coated Fine Texture Red and 90% Gloss Blue (which is pretty close to WRB, see below).

The shroud is CAD designed and CNC cut from 304 Stainless Steel and best of all is it's made in the USA. The design incorporates an air intake scoop guide tab. Each part does not have the logo on them, but will come with SUBTLE stickers (specify your color at checkout).

If ordering the combo deal, it is an option to mix and match colors. When ordering, also note your sticker color in the comments section. Note: to use the alternator cover on a Legacy you will need to buy p/n 23791AA002 which they are also offering and have in stock.

Can you ask whether the design would be similar to the zerosports unit they show in their picture of the Subtle alternator cover on the Legacy?

Many of the other brands have a fin that sits below the top to direct more air up to the intake tract - this is one of the things I would be interested.

oops sorry thought this was a GB for the alternator cover. Guess I'm back out since I already have a cusco radiator shroud.

The alternator cover fits but you have to buy a $5 STi cover bracket or make your own. It looks nice. A few members on here are running it, myself included. I haven't heard back yet about other colors or about the scoop part for the air intake, but i am anticipating one and hoping it is hella horn friendly.

That looks cool, but I wouldn't be interested with your company name plastered on it. Kinda loses the subtle aspect ;)

P.S. FWIW, I'm not in the market. Good luck though! :)

I inquired about some of the questions and here are the answers I got:

Q: Any other colors available? red, blue, etc..
A: "Yes, we will probably do a red if there is enough interest"

Q: Will it have the air intake guide like the zero/sports models?
A: "Yes, it will have something similar to the zerosports rad. Shroud"

Q: Would you do a package deal with the alternator cover?
A: "Yes, we would consider a combo with the alt. cover."

I may also be interested. Depends on funds, because there are lots of other upgrades that need to be done prior to this one. I would want the set if I purchased them.

Got you on the list. I am satisfied with their alt cover. When I was looking around, I was looking at other manufacturers like ARC, Beatrush, and Agency Power, but I liked the Subtle design better. Plus the quality and price can't be beat.
