tease! where are the photos of you behind the wheel with a big shit eating grin?

agctr 07-15-2004 12:14 AM

I would have said, the Ramblings of a MAD Moderator. Anyway, I have to hand it to you, good SPY work on yr ride before it gets delivered. I like the rest of the forum look forward to the countless number of posts on yr new ride. Its not congrats YET, but its close......

SUBE555 07-15-2004 04:21 AM

It's currently sitting 3.5hrs away from me Chad. Pickup is Saturday. I'm more teased with it than you guys are.

Maybe that grin should be a devlish shmirk. ;)

Are these the RE 92's we see in the tire close-up? I didn't know they were unidirectionnal.

Please, when you post after-delivery pictures, don't shrink them to avoid artifacts such as stair-stepping.

Nice colors though. A faithful rendition of the hard to capture Atlantic Blue

Dr. Zevil 07-15-2004 07:26 AM

Those are Toyo Proxes 4. The Re92 are not directional. Nice work on the pics Seth. Very nice looking *cough* BASTARD *cough*

Tires are Toyos. Lucy, you got some 'splaining to do.

Dr. Zevil 07-15-2004 11:59 AM

Let's just say that our dealer kicks a WHOLE LOTTA ARSE!

I didn't say this before Seth, but the car looks great. Although it looks like they took those tires for a few hot laps around Eau Claire

Very cool, you luck bastage.

racerdave 07-15-2004 12:25 PM

Awesome!!! Congrats! Go get it already! ;)

Very cool, and the Toyos look LIGHT YEARS better than the 92s.

I noticed you have to bring attention to you being a moderator.. elitist pig!

SUBE555 07-15-2004 02:33 PM

Bernard, I didn't take the pics, they were just sent to me. I downsized them so people with all sorts of resolutions can see them. My LCD is only 1024x768 (not like the nice IBM 20" Pro LCD's at school *drool*) so I wanted to accomodate. And I'm not sure what you're talking about stepping, I'm a self-proclaimed Photoshop n00b.

Cool blue, who is Lucy and what's splaining, is that like spamming? :?:

Ross, I told Jeff he just had to keep the shiny side up. ;)

Okay, decent day at work and knowing I likely have the option for 84hrs next week is good $$$. So you guys won't see me much next week.

Dr. Zevil 07-15-2004 02:35 PM

You have never seen "I love lucy"? That was posted in the Ricky Ricardo voice I presume..

Th3Franz 07-15-2004 05:31 PM

Haha, I'm younger than Seth but I got the "I Love Lucy" reference..
Awesome, Seth. Those tires look good on there, too. :D I got my Subaru survey in the mail today, so I'll fill that out. After the Madison meet on Saturday, my car will be officially broken in. w00t

SUBE555 07-15-2004 06:17 PM

You guys just aren't any funny with the I Love Lucy thing, I was just playing. Sheesh!

I so want to make it to the Madison meet, we'll see, might be able to. Depends on when I get to EC and how long I'm there. Might chill with Jeff- Impryz99 from NASIOC (Franz you might remember him) for a little bit. Hope to do about 10-20 miles on non-highway if I cruise on down to Madtown. We'll see.

Sube555,

Stairstepping can be introduced when a picture is made smaller or larger without being resampled at the new resolution. See pic below. Straight diagonal lines don't appear straight but more like discrete horizontal and vertical bars (like stairs...steps).

No need for Photoshop. Irfanview is a nice free imaging software that allows to easily resize/resample among other things

http://www.irfanview.com/

When I download a picture that is bigger than my screen resolution, I usually use Irfanview to cut any unwanted part and then I resample the remaining image for my screen resolution.
