Fender rolling
Thinking of lowering your car? Better get your fenders rolled first! I think this is necessary on ANY Subaru...
I couldn't find a shop anywhere to roll my fenders a while back, so I purchased an Eastwood fender roller and a heat gun and did it myself. I've done numerous cars now, not just Subarus. S2000s, MS3s, GTIs, S4s, and a ton of Legacys. I work out of my garage, but I will travel for an extra $20 if your car is not capable of moving. My price is $60 for front or rear, $100 for all four corners. You get a discount if you bring me good beer. :D http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...d/DSC04117.jpg |
I'll be sure to have you do mine if I ever decide on my setup.
Out of curiosity, what beer you drinking there? |
That would be a Wildfire. Now it just called "Wyld." Extra pale ale. Very tasty. Local brewing company - Four Plus.
The only Four Plus I've had was Punk'n... I don't know what I was thinking... :spin:
Sorry don't mean to go off topic... Think of it as free bumps. |
You're good man
love the pic, beer, phone, and a sexy set of brakes,.... oh and a creeper, what more does a guy need? jk I need my fenders done asap so hit me up when u get the time! :)
Oh man those are my old crappy brakes!
Can't work on a car without beer... I don't have too much homework this weekend, so I hope we can do it! I'll let you know. |
wow.... those are ur old ones haha i did not even notice, those were still good though man! k well i am crossing my fingers that u can :)
Just rolled CLeonard's fender wells! Who is next?
wow i wish i lived in salt lake; $60 to roll 4 fenders?! thats a sweet deal, looks like you got a real nice fender roller there too.
dang Id be up for it if i were closer
Drive down with those Spec B door cards and I will do it free!
I'm worried about the sealed seem on the lip of the rear fenders popping open if rolled, if salt gets in there then let the rust fest begin. Any issues with that rear seem during rolling?
The rear lip keeps all sorts of junk trapped in it without rolling it in, so it could still hold in moisture and rust... But I rolled it just enough to have a rounded edge instead of flat so the tires have plenty of clearance.
Yeah that's a classic trick. But it doesn't always work as well as an actually roller and you have a better chance of cracking paint......... Seriously.
