BBS Wheels for Legacy GT
Hey Dan,
Don't worry about kicking Rahman and I out. :) We got there pretty late as it was. I was told a lot about your shop and am looking forward to do business with you and your gang. I got a question for you. I am looking for a BBS wheel that looks like this: http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/1...02.whl.160.jpg But I am having a hard time figuring out what kind of wheel it is. I looked on BBS's website and I THINK it is part of BBS's "Tuner Line (Forged Alloys)", but I am not sure. The style of wheel within the Tuner Line is the BBS RE type. The wheel in the photo is from a 2008 LGT S402, if that helps any. Also, if you do know what the wheel is from BBS, would you be able to order it? I think the smallest size it comes in is 18 with + 48 offset (I could be wrong). Thanks!! |
1. call BBS cutomer service in FL
2. Email photo to them 3. get answer from the source:) |
Yeah that's true. :) But I figure I start with Mr. Dan first in case he has sold one of these wheels before.
Do you have BBS Florida's site address? I could send em an email off the bat. |
I forget who (I want to say Japanparts but I'm not sure) but someone had a set of those for sale within the last month or 2 in the Marketplace.

rota makes knockoffs as well if its just for daily driving

they are BBS RE's
and here is the link for the ones for sale http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...&highlight=bbs |
Thanks a lot guys. I was hoping for Dan's response, but looks like you guys got it covered.
My purpose in getting these wheels is because I plan on doing AutoX and daily driving. My daily commute to work is opposite to traffic both ways with only 3 traffic lights. Barely any stopping involved until the traffic lights and when I park. :) Most of my driving is highway driving as it is. I would settle for the Rota Formula, but I think they might be a tad bit heavy for what I plan on doing. But then again, I do not know how much stock wheels weigh, how much the BBS RE wheels weigh, or how much the Rota Formula wheels weigh. |
i have them and think the formula mesh are heavy. but if you're not super serious about competition and just looking for a wheel to beat around and the daily commute they should be good.
|
Well I do not know how super serious I may be. :) I think I will play it safe and get the BBS RE wheels for racing and the Rota Formula for daily driving. That should save me some money in terms of tires. LOL!

Okay, all the answers above are pretty spot-on. That wheel you pictured is a STi-badged BBS RE.
Formula Mesh are 22 pounds each. Stockers are 25-27, I think, depending on the style. We carry the Formula Mesh, HERE. I don't carry BBS at this time -- they just rejiggered their US distribution, so things are a bit in flux with that. But they're very expensive, at $750+ per wheel -- 4x the Rota wheels. The BBS are light, though, at under 18 pounds for the 18x8.5" wheel. --Dan Mach V FastWRX.com |
