FS (SOLD): 2005-09 Legacy Bilstein HDs 10k Miles

3 Attachment(s)
I will have a set of Bilstein HD struts with OEM Legacy Springs and Spec.B tophats available within the next week. They have about 10k miles on them and are in pristine shape. I recently purchased the car from the previous owner who hardly drove it and kept everything in immaculate condition.

SOLD

Yeah I noticed that when I bought the car... I think it's because they are designed for the spec.B which has the heavier 6MT to weigh down the front.

Either way they would be a good candidate for lowering springs on a 5MT or stock replacement/upgrade on a spec.B. Very solid struts that handle amazing for stock ride height!

BUMP!

billsteins are known to have a height difference compared to standard lgt struts. I believe that can be fixed using non JDM tophats...

I'm pretty sure these are the USDM spec.B tophats, I will check when I get home.

Can you verify that they are Bilstein HD's and not Spec.B Bilsteins?

Kelvrick 12-12-2012 10:51 AM

I'd be interested if they're specb bilsteins. I want some extra height. It just looks strange how the front is so much higher. Like the car version of David Blaine.

Yes, they are the aftermarket Bilstein HD's not the spec.B OEM Bilsteins. I have the original paperwork to verify.

Sorry I was unaware of this, thread will be deleted by EOD today.

c-lo 12-12-2012 12:11 PM

you don't need to delete your thread. just need to add pics the proper way of the actual item.

RallyMachine 12-12-2012 12:40 PM

I can load them correctly but they have not yet been removed so I wont be able to get pics in 24 hours.

Cone_Killer 12-12-2012 02:00 PM

You should be able to walk right through that wheel gap and take some pictures of the shocks....

RallyMachine 12-16-2012 10:52 PM

Bump for pics of actual item...thanks for the grace period mods.

I'm interested, but what was up with the ride height ? Even stock doesn't sit that high and the 6 speed weight difference doesn't affect it by 1" etc.

I am not sure, I have reciepts for 4 Bilstein HDs and 2 front USDM spec.B top hats (with all necessary mounting equipment) from the previous owner. From what I'm seeing OEM spring rates are about 200 lbs/in, so if the 6 speed was 100-200lbs heaver than the 5MT that would equate to a .5in -1in increase in ride height (primarily in the front). That's just my speculation though...

Responded. Thanks for interest.

Where are you guys seeing ride height pics?

Seller - These came with the car when you bought it? If so, how can you actually be sure of the actual mileage on the shocks?

I have the original invoices for the struts and top hats which have the dates on them. Then I cross referenced the dates with the reported mileage on the Carfax.

Anyway, these have been SOLD!!!!!!!!
