ShockerGT
I run NAPA blanks on my Miata and I know every C5Z owner I've talked to at Sebring run NAPA blanks. Cheap to replace and can take the abuse of track pads.

N.sane
Oh snap, I better check my DBA's for cracks. I've noticed some brake juddering under hard braking when autocrossing. Had them for 3.5 years now. Got new pads installed/bedded in last month too, so I doubt it's pad deposits.

fahr_side
And which parts aren't chinese these days? Probably not many, but I get especially pissed off when they're made in China but have "Made in Germany" stamped on them! It turns out these '330x28mm' rotors were OE-replacement STi 326x30mm blanks turned down to 28mm, which happens to be the minimum thickness, and some slots cut into the faces. There are vendors out there that just plain need to be horse whipped. fahr_side
Mike, do you start every post intending it to be a sales pitch, or does it just somehow end up that way anyway, or am I just imagining things? AZP Installs
Mike, do you start every post intending it to be a sales pitch, or does it just somehow end up that way anyway, or am I just imagining things? Imagining things, we've been enthusiasts and in the "subaru game" since 1999 (member #197 on I-Club) so it annoys us that there are so many vendors that know nothing more than part numbers. So it's not a "sales pitch" God knows, we don't sell parts for the most part (probably less than 10% of our business). Also a lot of folks come onto the internet and spew crap about parts, when they: A) have seen 1 example of the product B) read it on the internet and never actually experienced it -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. fahr_side
Well, here's the solution... I hope. http://i.imgur.com/QY7ob.jpg These were not made in China. I went to the shop to have them made, and it wasn't in China. The best part is that the hats were made to match the mounting bracket solution I already have, and the rotors themselves were made to the AP original drawings, so I can buy genuine AP rotors in future or the replicas from Performance Friction, if these don't work out. I expect they will work out as my buddy uses these on all the rally cars he preps, with no issues. It's so nice to have functional brakes.
