mbazzano88
I recently ordered a catless UP, catted DP, and cat back. I'll be getting them installed and tuned at EFI logics in about a month, and the more I read up the more I worry that I will be blowing the end tanks off my stocker tmic. I'm on a budget right now, what would be the best and most cost effective way to keep from blowing up under stage two power? I'm not really worried about trying to get more power by adding a bigger more efficient tmic, I just want it to run safely. Thanks guys
goneskiian
You can keep your stock intercooler. You've got 2 choices: Bullet Proof Mod or JB Weld Mod. Cheers!
scoobyscoodle
JB weld is pretty strong stuff, it will easily handle stage 2 psi levels.
OutbackXT05
Ive also seen some just use a big ring clamp around the whole tmic too and it worked fine.
mbazzano88
Thanks for the suggestions, on the JB weld method they were saying it develops cracks rather quickly so I think I will attempt the bullet proof or large ring clamp method. Are there any other weak points that frequently fail with the added power?
scoobyscoodle
You are going to want to zip tie or hose clamp every map line. ESP the ones off that blue T connector under the tmic.
