ssbtech
How come the rear sway bar (and I suppose the front too) is "loaded" when the car is off the ground? Doesn't it just swing down in the bushings?
xero287
It does, but there is still significant load on the endlinks.
I Donated bucko3the7man Posted November 16, 2012 I Donated Share Posted November 16, 2012 Because it's attached to the wheels, which stress it when they hang in the air
xero287
The control arm brah, not the wheels.
whitetiger
as long as the wheels(suspension) are at the same position, whether the car is in the air or on the ground, the bar will not be loaded. Every single bar ive ever installed, and ive done alot of them, have been with the car in the air.
AZP Installs
It is easier to do em with the wheels loaded though. Ramps or a 4 post make it nice. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts.
