GTborn01
I am official starting my build thread for my lovely wagon. It is my second Subaru. First was a 1998 Forester w/ 2.5" lift and 2.2 swap. I bought this car in April 2012 and I have loved it every day since. The clutch was at its end when I bought the car and it was missing the driver's side fog light. The car has definitely been in an accident on the front left because the hood, front bumper, and left fender are slightly off color. Also the core support is bent slightly but the title is clean. I've been to WCSS 12, Big Northwest Subaru Meet 2012, and WCSS 13. All were fantastic shows! Here's where I'm at: OE Replacement Exedy Clutch Yellow fogs Cosmo Racing Short Ram Intake Painted snowflakes DNA Short Throw Shifter 2 12" Phillips subs w/ Phoenix Gold amp Whiteline 20mm 3-way adjustable sway bar My future plans: KYB GR2 struts w/ H&R lowering springs STI front lip 02/03 WRX seats 17" or 18" wheels painted Light Gray Light bar with Hella 500's Supertones painted to match wheels Franken Motor (EJ25 w/ EJ22 heads) Window Tint UEL Headers, 2.25" midpipe, SPT axle back Now for the pics!: http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120206_235519.jpg http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120517_145209.jpg http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/bnwdrive.jpg http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120523_205855.jpg http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/386942_646901274650_351355406_n.jpg http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120903_155631.jpg http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120531_145604.jpg

GTborn01
Got hooked up with some Supertones and got them wired up to the stock. So i wired them by splicing my current horns wire to some 14g wire. http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120929_185403.jpg Next I put some female connectors on the other end of the wire and plugged my power and ground wires into the horn. I ran the ground wire to the bolts that held on the original horns. http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120929_185308.jpg http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120929_185258.jpg I noticed that I was having an issue with the horns rubbing on the back of my grille so I bent the brackets to give myself some more clearance. http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120929_183920.jpg http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120929_184206.jpg I then bolted the brackets to the bolts that held on the radiator screen. http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120929_185244.jpg
GTborn01
Noticed that I was still having clearance issues with my grille so I grabbed some tin shims and cut into my grille. http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120929_191815.jpg http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120929_191844.jpg Now I just look, listen and enjoy! http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x449/97stepside/20120929_185802.jpg

rickmfromnh
I love the wagon, but I gotta ask; what is the difference between the regular fog lights versus the yellow ones? I am seeing those everywhere now.
cpundyk
Yellow lights cut threw the fog better.
GTborn01
They become more of a fog light rather then extra driving lights too. And looks better in my opinion.
LibertyFLS
Very nice wagon, looks like mine, same color, yellow film on fogs, but my wheels aren't black (but the ones I'm getting are) and mine isn't lowered yet, still waiting on the Impreza mounts to get here then I'll have everything I need. How do you like that intake? What is the deal with horns I see everywhere on this forum though? Never thought I'd be adding a horn to my list of upgrades haha. GTborn01
The horns are extra loud! And look good. The intake is good for the price. I'll be getting rid of it shortly to get a real cold air

Dragon-Wagon
GT, what cai are you looking to get? Also, do you notice any extra power with the current intake on your leggy?
GTborn01
GT, what cai are you looking to get? Also, do you notice any extra power with the current intake on your leggy? I'm going to get the cosmo CAI. My current short ram didn't give me any noticeable improvement. Just more sound
Dragon-Wagon
I was looking at those a while back but was apprehensive because I read about the possibility of air lock, idle problems, etc... When you do it please do a write up on the install. I'd love to hear how you like it and if it adds any noticeable boost in power.
cpundyk
Hey garrett the cosmo intake will act the same as a short ram if not a bit more Shitty. You need the stack affect to get proper power. Cobb CAI or hybrid intake are the only dyno proven intakes for second gens.
GTborn01
What's the hybrid intake? I'll be doing a radar scanner review here soon. It runs off a small black box and an app on your phone.
