05wagongt
as my car is waiting for new engine to be installed, my garage said they would install the catless uppipe and let me keep ,y warranty after i showed them the problems the catted one causes.... so with that said, perrin or cobb? and will stock gaskets work or do i need a different set? Moderators BarManBean Posted December 7, 2012 Moderators Share Posted December 7, 2012 Neither. Just find a stock STI up pipe and use that. Stock gaskets are fine, just use new ones. I used a couple of GTSpec gaskets as well and they worked fine. "Bullet-proof" your OEM TMIC! <<Buy your kit here>> Not currently in stock

Moderators BarManBean Posted December 7, 2012 Moderators Share Posted December 7, 2012 I had really good luck posting a "WTB" thread on nasioc. If not, I would just go with a solid up pipe. I've seen an invidia in person in the past and it seemed like a nice piece. Would be a good idea to heat wrap it before installation. otter4x4
My Invidia went in easily (30 mins with the DP and header removed while installing Agency Power header at the same time as the UP), quickened boost response, and didn't break the bank. My car has 3 different brand exhaust components (AP header, Invidia DP & UP, SPT cat back) and they all have worked very well together.

StoplightAssassin
STi ups have shown to flow less than an aftermarket up. No troubles whatsoever with my Perrin up.
