There is a tab that sticks out at the bottom side. It shows that the tab on the original style gaskets has a smooth long edge, while the new style gaskets have a tab with 3 indents on the long side.

I'll see if I can get a few pictures for you later on today.

You may be able to get an idea from a few headgasket pics in my thread starting here: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...-151027p3.html

I stumbled onto this forum recently looking for tips to replace the power antenna and to repair the burned out wiring in my drivers' side headlight so thanks to the many contributors. I thought I should contribute something minor back so here's some photos of my old stocker.

I've bought this 1995 Subaru Liberty/Legacy from the first owner in 1998 when it had just 75K km on it (192K k now). It's AWD (as Subarus should be :)), manual, still on the original clutch. It spent about 9 years mostly parked while I was out of the country in a 4 year stint studying in the US and another 5 year stint working in the US and then the UK.

I owned a couple of 1st Gen US Legacys while I lived in the US and a collection of other random stuff but I keep coming back to the Subaru. It's nowhere near as fancy as some of the examples on here. There's a couple of "dirty" ones after I went out on the old World Rally stages near my hometown in Perth and some taken this morning.

I took pictures with my phone. I am trying to get internet access so I can upload them to the photobucket app and post the pictures here.

As far as the head gasket photos, I will have to get them tomorrow. The car is several miles away from my house and I won't have enough gas to get there until tomorrow when I get paid.

I have a Windows 7 phone and an iPhone. The Windows phone will never connect to the WiFi at work and my iPhone (which I use as an iPod) has been missing for a week :(

Kenny, want you to go to your apps on your iPhone and find SNAPBUCKET (it's free) then download that. Also have Photobucket mobile on your iphone as well. First snap a photo with your regular iPhone. Open SNAPBUCKET and it'll show you your phone's photos and "snap" the photo on to snapbucket. Now, open Photobucket and refresh the page with the top right circular arrow and you can copy and paste the URL onto LegacyGT's threads. Easy as that:

kenny, get some JDM projectors and fix that dent on the passenger side front fender and you might have something. :p JK, looks great. Red GTs are gorgeous. :)

joelwatts 06-03-2012 01:46 PM

I like it Kenny. You have my seal of approval.

broknindarkagain 06-03-2012 02:02 PM

Why is none of the front end stuff lined up correctly?

Regardless, Rio Red GT = instant win.

Its about time you stopped talking about buying a car and actually did it :lol::lol:

Now you need Whiteline front and rear sway bars.

I might sell mine for the right price
