pjn2557
Greetings, I recently bought a set of PIAA 2100 driving lamps to install on my 2009 Legacy 2.5i. I understand how to connect the (+) and (-) connections to the battery, but there is another connection that needs to be made from the switch to a (+) connection (radio preferred) and I cannot figure out which wire in the rat's nest under steering wheel is the correct one to connect. Does anyone know which wire (color/pattern) I can tie this into or at least have the wiring diagram? Is it dangerous to just connect the switch power to the fuse box (plug in with a fuse) or is this a bad idea? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you! robinlsb
I used a fuse tap in the fuse box under the hood. It looks like this: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Electrical/Fuse-and-Accessories/_/N-25gq?filterByKeyWord=fuse+tap&fromString=search Install the tap into the high beam fuse location and run a wire from there;' Then, when you dim your lights, the DRs will go off. I also seem to remember that you should tap the plus wire to the plus side of a high beam plug. Good luck. You need a voltmeter;) "Belief does not make truth. Evidence makes truth.
