vwaddict53
I cannot get this sucker to move. Using a stubby wrench, any way to get more leverage?
EJ25subie05
i have never done it on the car, not sure if you'll have room but try a pipe, locking two wrenches together, long breaker bar, anything to give you a few extra inches. this is where you have to get creative
zenfamily
They are really stubborn, especially if you haven't removed them. I don't remember using leverage though.
ctlex
i think its mostly the tight space making it difficult. using a crow foot, an extension, and a long ratchet makes it way easier.
vwaddict53
Pb blaster soak for about three hours and it came right off. Now on to finding the damn washer that fell.
CUNNINGHAM
I hate to be that guy to say this but just make sure youre turning it in the correct direction, counter clockwise. As a automotive teacher I see this mistake made daily and thought I would throw that out there. If you are turning it counter clockwise and it's not coming off I would soak it in PB blaster as previously stated and find a way to extend your wrench to increase your leverage also as previously stated. If those do not work a little heat from a tourch may be needed. Good Luck!
Jazz95
Oh that washer sucks. Getting it off is easy, putting it back on was just stupid. Wound up having to use a string to dangle the washer into the area in order to install it. That area has NO space...

A cool trick that you can use in the future is apply a litte grease or a dab of silicone to help hold the washer in place while you install it.
