coppertone
For those who know of me, know that I am more of an exhaust/car audio gentleman. So here's my question for you gents. I've purchased a set of 18X8 wheels and am wondering the following. Do I buy 225/45/18 tires as my GT came with Or do I buy 235/40/18 since hese are slightly wider then oem? 2010 2.5GT limited is for sale.

krzyss
45 will be to tall well if your stock height it wont be 45 is the wheel offset not tire profile, I think. Krzys
coppertone
Ok bad news, upon placing and accepting my order for the Lexani wheels, I find that they are back ordered until July. So to tide me over until I figure out what I want to do, I purchased a set of TSW also in 18X8 fitment. 2010 2.5GT limited is for sale.

coppertone
Well to be honest I suck at choosing wheels. One thing that I do know is where I live and travel, no bigger then 18" for this guy lol. 2010 2.5GT limited is for sale.
Claw
What does being an old guy have to do with buying nice wheels? Go for it.. 235/40-18s for sure.
coppertone
Lol, meaning I am not up to date when it comes to what size on what wheels. My background is with Vw's and we stretched the heck out of those tires. But being AWD now I want as much rubber as I can safely put on these. 2010 2.5GT limited is for sale. tytek
You can easily put 235/40/18 on our cars. 8.5" wide wheel with offset around 45mm will help fill the fenders. However, at that width, you should go 245 or even 255 wide. You will not rub with a 3/4"-1" drop. I think that wheels with widths of 9"+ and offsets below 40mm start sticking out and may require rolling of body work.

Hemingway
I like them both, but I am partial to the former. I prefer more spokes to less .. within reason. Just a personal preference.
coppertone
The sad part is Lexani is having major problems on their end with these R-tens so unless you live where it's always warm, summer will be over before they are released. 2010 2.5GT limited is for sale.
