I can't see the crack/chip you're referring to, but to me it looks like the leak is coming down from where I circled in red. Is that hose clamp tight, and does it look like the leak might be coming from that hose?

i thought it might be that hose but i checked this morning and no it wasnt. i had it towed to the dealer lot where i bought it and they towed it to the shop. the shop said it was my water pump for sure and possibly my timing belt.. so since i just bought the car and they want to charge me 250$(i know its not alot for the job) im gonna contact my lawyer and see what rights i have since ive only owned the car for 6 days and havent even gone 500 miles. however @apexi I circled the spot i thought was chipped/cracked in yellow.. it was leaking from there when i pulled over to check why she was steaming/smoking. Btw thanks for the help everyone

Did you have a compression test done when you bought it? I would worry about that more than the WP/Timing belt issue.

Also your lawyer is likely to charge you more than $250 for that advice, lawyers run about $300-400/hr!

It is also considered maintenance so the dealer can likely not do anything and still be fine.

You should be able to get it done at just about any shop that does maintenance but I would find a place that specifically deals with subies because it can be a bit tricky.

I have no idea how a timing belt can be leaking coolant. But what do I know...

When my water pump bearing was leaking it dripped onto the exhaust heat shield. No staining on the timing belt cover, that I remember.

Never took a picture but it was obvious what it was.

That hose may have a pin hole in the bottom of it, I agree with apexi, the white trail gives a clue.
