dr_sharp
I'm not even sure if this is worth posting because it was so simple, but I'm going to post pictures because there's a lot of misinformation on the forums about whether or not it will actually fit. Here's a before and after on the car. I filled in some red on the second picture to illustrate the only noticable gap. There is also a very small gap on the bottom that is extremely small. This took me all of about 10 minutes to do. If you're good with a dremmel it would take you another 10 minutes to make the modifications suggested below. Here is a good picture courtesy of tractorcrusher: http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n41/tractorcrusher/rolling10.jpg lol

dr_sharp
They have the same connectors all around. The previous owner of the Outback grill had already dremelled off the bottom clips on mine. This doesn't really affect the fitment at all (it fits snug all the way around). Another owner mentioned that he got the Outback clips to fit after about 40 minutes of working with it. http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1724829&postcount=8 http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1725773&postcount=11 There are 4 clips that attach at the top of the grill. They have to be removed with a flathead. lol
dr_sharp
In order to remove the grill, just pop the hood and remove 1 bolt and 1 pop-it from each side. Then you can work the bottom clips loose and off it comes. Do reverse order to install the outback grill. Whether or not you want to dremel is up to you. If you think you'll go back to stock, then don't dremel so that you can sell the Outback grill again. Otherwise, fitment is far easier with the clips removed. lol

ClimberDHexMods
I am obsessed with the idea of doing this. Are the gaps that you outlined really bad? Or are they bearable? Provided you don't have red parts behind it, I doubt anyone other than you would notice. http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=87100&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1319106875 [CENTER][B][I] Front Limited Slip Racing Differentials for the 5EAT now available for $1895 shipped, please inquire for details!
