Added door panels, floor mats, woofers, front passenger seat... that thing was heavy! I've now shaved 230 lbs. off of my car which should put me under 3100lbs. without driver. I'm really going to try to make it to the drag strip before I start with the sound deadening. I will be weighing all of that, too.

Those two mods you mentioned do lower the vehicle weight by 1/5th of 1%... interested to see where this thread goes. Love to drop weight where possible though, keep going :)

Remove the sound deadening in the trunk. Its feels like a good 10-15 pounds that I removed. There some under the spare tire, under the black thing right before the rear seat and then on either side of the spare tire well under the inner trunk side covers.

Hmm... Wouldn't it be easier to just go on a diet? :p

Therein lies the problem, I'm like 150lbs if that :)

Here's a photo of my trunk minus the sound deadening stuff. I took it out from under the spare tire, under that black foam piece and under the carpet side pieces on either side of the trunk.

It adds up though. 230 / 3320 = 6.9%.

That's like a big passenger, I'm sure that's enough to feel a difference.

That seems like way too much work to save a little bit of time at the track. To each their own I guess.

For the track this is normal. I'm interested in hearing if he does this for a DD.

Wow, I wouldn't have expected that much from just a battery. I did not get a chance to pull mine out. I do plan on replacing mine soon though. I've had it for 3+ years without changing and I just left all of the interior lights on overnight a few days ago.

Added some ion springs, stock bilsteins, and bilstein HDs.

Used this battery for about 4 years and replaced it when it started having issues turning the car over at anything below 20 degrees after sitting all night. Would still start the car but it was slow cranking. I know others do not like the small batteries, but I never had an issue. Hardest part is finding a tray and hold down that looks nice and fits the Legacy.
