bigboy292000
In case others were looking also (as I have): Torklift Central has a sale on Subaru Ecohitches about once a year (best I can tell). This time is now here (2/8 - 2/14/16) http://www.ecohitch.blogspot.com/2016/02/sale-on-subaru-trailer-hitches-ecohitch-2016.html Sale is not huge ($25 off), but hey - money still does not grow on trees... FLlegacy
Is the ecohitch for the 5th gen aluminum? If it is then the price tag is pretty reasonable. The eco part of the advertising is laughable almost all metal used in manufacturing is recycled.
bigboy292000
The thing that is significant about this hitch, I think, is that it is the most seamless design when installed of all of them out there.

Definitely! But after installing my curt hitch I can say the difference is mostly cosmetic. You don't lose ground clearance with the curt, well the 1.25" anyway. If money is no issue the Eco hitch is definitely the way to go! And the savings will almost cover the wiring kit if you buy it from ebay.
