discojon
While changing my blower motor I heard this thing making noise. Seems to be a solenoid / actuator or some type that is constantly cycling. Located passenger foot well on the side nearest transmission runner. What is it and what does it do? http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/08/11/u7yneza6.jpg

discojon
Thanks. Unfortunately the problem with mine is the actuator directly below the one that controls the vents. It seems to have a lever connected to an arm that goes into the center console. All of my HVAC stations work as does recirc/ outside air
discojon
Looks to be the mix door actuator. My car has the auto HVAC. 72131AG26A
discojon
Weird. Both driver / passenger dual zone climate works just fine. The servo is acting like it can't find center. Like a pot is going bad it seems like.
DrD123
We had the drivers side mixer motor flip out on our Odyssey - it would flutter back and forth. I took it apart, cleaned up the contacts, etc, reassembled and it's been fine ever since. Not sure if the Subaru ones come apart easily, but from the picture it looks like it comes apart the same way the Honda one does (just pull back the plastic clips on the sides and the two halves of the case should come apart)
discojon
It seems to have stopped. I just ran the Self diagnosis on the HVAC and everything passed So I'm not going to worry about it.
