DVB250
Alright - So, i'm a new subie owner, and when I pop the trunk on my 08 Legacy Spec B... I see a spot that looks like it should have a factory free air sub, but there's not one there. The question - is there a stupid simple plug and play factory subwoofer for this spot? I've seen mods where people put one there, but why would they put a mounting place for a factory sub, just to cold cock you??? I'm over loud ass bass, but if there was a stock sub, it seems like it would just fill things out perfectly. thanks, Dave
bomberlegacy
Do you have the Harmon Kardon system? Some have subs there. The others have the option of an under seat sub '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust
Strizzy
HK systems didn't come around until 2009. Hold the AUDIO button down on the radio until '(●)' shows up on the right side of the display. That turns on the SRS audio processing system. My bad luck build
gimpydingo
Congrats on the Spec B! If you have a sub it's probably under the drivers seat. I installed the OEM on my 07 not too long ago and that's where it goes. My '13 3.6 with HK has the sub in the hole you are describing in the trunk area, as well as bassy speakers in the front. SRS does add some crispness to the sound, but can easily get distorted if you turn the volume up. Bass + SRS will kill the weak speakers.

Strizzy
Congrats on the Spec B! If you have a sub it's probably under the drivers seat. The specB comes standard with NAV, so the DVD drive will be under the drivers' seat. My bad luck build
