mkee87
Did a datalog with my accessport, my maf g/s seems real low, my a/f correction is high and I'm knocking bad under boost. Could all of this be attributed to a hole in my turbo inlet hose? I just found one this morning looking around, it's about the size of a pencil. Attached is my datalog, 06 lgt 5eat on cobb acn91 stage 1 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OxrDHur-SW47YkpedfFyw4QNm3KrvhFQvoqXZFIHTMU/edit?usp=sharing
700watts
in short, yes....and stop boosting until you fix it..or you'll be on the engine rebuild thread next.
mkee87
I'm running the valet mode map until my new turbo inlet gets here and driving like a grandpa in the meantime.
FknBoss
If you can access the damaged section put some duct tape to seal it as best as possible to minimize the unmetered air.
mkee87
Whoever had the car before I bought it tried to patch it with a blob of rtv.
compsurge
I guess it hasn't blown up so far. That's a terrible fix for a $90 part.
mkee87
I think I might need a new maf as well. Low g/s numbers and fuel pump duty stuck at 33%
compsurge
Is everything plugged in? Fix the inlet, then start moving toward other diagnoses. Don't throw money at the problem until you've found the problem. Your inlet is likely the problem.
