Toallhisdoom
So ordered kyb struts and H&R lowering springs for my 98 legacy gt sedan. The website said 90-98 legacy all models except wagon. Well fronts went in no problem. Then the rear springs were tapered at the top and would not seat properly on the struts. So now i am riding around with the front lowered, and the rear on stock springs. It does not look terrible but i paid 200$ for springs that i can now not put in my car. Anyone else have this issue? Sure. Turn the spring a little bit. I rode around in my 98 Outback for a day with the rear lowered and the front at stock height....It was awesome -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Toallhisdoom
Nonono, the tops of the stock springs are the same diameter as the bottom, with the H&R springs the top is smaller diameter then the bottom so it is to small for the strut mount. Toallhisdoom
No the fronts are same top and bottom diameter as well. And the fronts had the letter F on them and rears had the letter R. So no. Lol Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
Toallhisdoom
Dear H&R customer, Before installing your new H&R springs, be sure to check that the H&R spring shape (size) matches the factory springs. Some Subarus have different shaped (size) rear springs. Thank you for choosing H&R! So wtf are the right springs? GRR

subikid90
H&R does offer the right springs for our cars. The ones you have currently sound like they are for the 04-07 wrx's with the tapered springs. The correct part # should be 29868. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap
