Hey whats up everybody.

First time actually doing a "build" journal.

So my car is a 2009 Subaru Legacy 3.0R Limited. I got it with about 40k miles on it. I love it!!!!! It is newport blue pearl.

So my first retrofit, I put in some rx330 non afs with the legacy shield and clear lens. The output isnt too bad, but I want more.

After seeing some of Greenkouki's (hidplanet) work on modding the shield, I decided that I wanted to go with rx330 non afs in the low beam area

Here is all my stuff that I have thus far:

Also got some weathercaps so I didn't have to deal with the dust caps. My last retrofit I had issues with clearence under the cap! This will have plenty of room!!

Got in the mail last week my power supply to test everything, and to mod the fogs (if needed).

For those who don't know, this thing will power any HID ballast and pretty much any halogen bulb...Well worth the money!!

I also waterproofed my denso slim ballasts using MG chemicals thermally conductive epoxy -

I took apart my lamps as well.......Personally I like 215 for 8 mins

Here are the esuse LED fog lights I got.....With my custom bracket! that can still be adjusted of course :-D

So as of right now, my rx330 non afs projectors are on their way to Greenkouki's factory to get modded up.....He is also going to custom paint my headlight bezels...

Update coming next week hopefully!

I'm about to sell some potted Denso's now though to pay for them!!! (And also becuz Im going to use mat gen 5's!)

Triton V treeezzziesssss. haha . I got Vleds Triton V3's! They are sick. Got them 20 percent off as well.

Okay so heres a minor update :

I was going to use the weather cap here with an interference fit around the inside of the dust cap lip:

But it was a little bit flimsy.......and was actually difficult to put on and off. It would be very difficult to do if the lamps were in the car as well.

So I went to home depot and got some stuff.....

So here is the original dust cap. With the new projectors, the D2s bulb attachment sits out to far to use the cap. What I wanted was something that I could twist into the existing location, but also have more clearance in the back.

So I took the original dust cap and cut out the inside of it.....leaving only the piece that attaches to the headlight. I also got a 2nd and 3rd O-ring to use with the piece I got at the depot. It is a PVC 3 inch cap.

I pushed the cap onto the OEM dust cap as hard as I could. I put the two O-rings between the PVC and the dust cap, and squeezed until both O-rings compressed into each other. Its also worth mentioning I had to sand down the plastic reinforcement strands (for lack of a better term) pieces on the OEM dust cap.

Once the PVC cap was as far down as I could get it, I drilled and placed some screws to keep it from backing out.

This thing is seriously solid, and very airtight.

Now I can twist on and twist off my new extended dust cap!!!!!

I figure it I spray paint it grey you wont be able to tell its not Bro-EM. I mean OEM. :-D
