Being close to Georgia, I would think you have heard the term "yall" before.

Put some fresh gas in the tank if none is in it. The idea of sucking up sediment on the bottom of the tank is more of a myth then anything.

A fuel pump can still "work" but not let the engine run if its not putting out enough fuel pressure. Sounds like you might need to get your hands on a fuel pressure gauge to fully check things.

Sure have but I was raised different. I do not say "yall" or "aint" etc. My English mother plus being raised up north is to blame. Anywho what does that have to do with what I asked?

tell that myth to my 71 cougar. that sucker sucked up red goo into the filter screens more than i care to admit. it got so expensive i stopped replacing the filters and just removed, beat it on the street for a while and replaced it. i probably should have just pulled and cleaned the tank, but that would have taken energy and cash too.

and you need to test the fuel pressure at the rail, mebbe the pump is working but not enough to fuel the motor. my civic had that problem a couple years ago, tested at the rail and only had 8psi. changed the pump and it went up and worked.
