why?

Because LED.

Not to be a buzzkill here but those look rather misaligned and highly out of place....

If it was done in higher quality, how do you like the style?

I like, especially if they get the job done as DRL.

I like it too after seeing a porsche macan in my rearview with this style which led to my search.

I take it you want to go with something other than Halos?

I like halos too but feel like it's a bit played out.

The lines of our cars don't really work well with squares... So as cool as it may be, it just looks out of place :/

To me (OCD and perfectionism) if you can't make them look and function like they came like that from the factory, it really isn't worth the money. Maybe if there was some shrouding covering the mounting plates and everything (and aligned properly) it might not look too bad.

Halos may be played out. That's why you need to make your design unique. Honestly show me something that hasn't been done and still looks good. The reason why it gets played out is because people like it and hop on the band wagon.

I'm facing the same dilemma about light bars. I made mine for function over form. Now it seems like lots of people are hopping on the form band wagon. Consider it a compliment.

Personally. I would try to keep my headlights looking as stock as possible. I don't like to change things out too much. This guys headlight design is awesome but it's still missing something for me.

If you want the 4 LEDs like that why not buy a different projector shroud and install it in place of your current projector shroud. There are many options out there.

This is very interesting looking. I'm curious to know where this guy lives? His area where the car is parked looks familiar. Would like to look at this in person
