metsfan999
I know people have negative opinions on LED bulbs on our cars but these look promising.....any thoughts??? Expensive but I guess you get what you pay for. http://www.v-leds.com/page/V3TRITON.html
Wicked
Wondering as well. Love to use for DRL's on my SSS.

metsfan999
Well, I ordered the application for an 08-09 brake lamp which I believe is a 7443 bulb. I'll try to post a video up on here to compare a regular bulb to this expensive LED to see if its worth it.
SCHM1AN
So they're super bright? That's the only difference? You're going to be like the new Caddies and blind everyone behind you with your overkill bulbs. Don't get me wrong-- I love my LEDs, but I'm not going to go out of my way to get something that's so bright it can be seen a mile away. Mine are bright enough, IMO. metsfan999
Im just looking for a LED bulb thats as bright as OEM bulbs. I'm not looking for super bright bulbs that will blind the hell out of people. I like the instant on/off look of LEDs.
SCHM1AN
You can buy bulbs that are just as bright as OEM at Diode Dynamics, VLEDS, or superbrightleds. I have LED tail lights and I, too, enjoy the instant on/off. These just seem overkill in the brightness department.
metsfan999
I've purchased LEDs from all three of those vendors and NONE of them are as bright as OEM. I've also spent a good amount of money just trying all of them out. The good thing is, they let me return all of the bulbs.
SCHM1AN
Interesting. Mine came from Diode Dynamics and they seem a little brighter than OEM judging by the lock/unlock (before I got a new flasher which disabled that). If you think these will fit the bill, then go for it. Let us know how they turn out for you

Stang70Fastback
In for review and thoughts on whether this would light up well in a 2nd gen legacy housing. Because I have the brightest of the brightest from SuperBrightLEDS and they are almost-but-not-quite-as-bright as the stock bulbs... particularly in the front. metsfan999
Expensive but well worth it. No need to search for bright as stock LED bulbs because the V3s are all of that and then some. I have the amber turn signals on the way so I'll post another vid of those soon. I wanted daytime examples because all we see are examples indoors or in the dark and I wanted everyone to see that these are very bright during the daytime. Hope this helps other members out that have tried everything else out there on the market.
Bolksey85
Those look great! I'm a partial n00b when it comes to the LED stuff but won't you need a resistor or one of the upgraded relays when it comes to the turn signals? To prevent the hyper blink that is. SCHM1AN
Yes, you'll need an external load resistor or a new flasher relay (CF18-04, I believe). I'm not sure on the resistor ratings though- does someone have that information?
metsfan999
This is what I've been using for the past year and change and everything is working properly. http://www.v-leds.com/Electronic-Flashers/TOYOTA-ELECTRONIC-4-LED-p4481146.html
SCHM1AN
That's what I bought. I lost the lock/unlock confirmation flash, and my 4-way hazards don't work unless the key is in the ignition and in accessory mode, which is why I'm interested in some load resistors. metsfan999
thats odd because I haven't had any issues with the flash or 4 way hazards.
SCHM1AN
I doubt it, but I wonder if the electronics in the car changed between 06-07-08 and that's why it works on your car and not mine... For the price of another flasher relay, I could buy the resistors which I know will work.
Bolksey85
Any of you guys have thoughts about using this in conjunction with the LED bulbs? http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/led-signal-flasher-built-tap-turn-triple-blink-convenience-187325.html
metsfan999
i have no use for that. I'm good with what I have working for me already
SCHM1AN
Thought about it, but the price deterred me
