Your Insurance Premiums in the Tri-State Area?

Two-Five Sti-L

Recommended Posts

Prospective owner here wondering how much do you all pay for your coverages on your L? Pls list the following:

Model: I or GT, sedan/wagon

Location: City and State

Liability: 50/100, 100/300 etc..

Comprehensive Deductible: $500, $1000 etc..

Your driving record ;)

I'm guessing the LGT commands a higher premium than the Accord, Camrys of the world, due to higher HP, but the I has similar if not lower rates than the peers I mentioned?

2005GT

the woodbridge collective

state farm

100/300 liability

paying about 1160 a year

one ticket shortly after buying the LGT that was forgiven.

I could probably lower that if I went througha nd made sure all the deductables were from their current rate plans as i have some legacy deductable settings on PIP and comprehensive that are grandfathered in.

I pay $1800/yr. Full coverage, 25 yrs old. It would be lower but I'm in a highrisk b/c I'm paying off the carloan. I use Travelers. I was quoted by Allstate online for 1100/yr. Might look into that.

Wow, you guys' rates aren't bad at all, except Strabo (sorry). Considering I'm in NYC it should be even cheaper by maybe 10-15%. I was expecting closer to $1,500/yr for full cvg.

Heh, yea, my rates suck. But once my sister gets her own car and I turn 25, it should go down.

i recently checked out some quotes at http://www.oneshopinsurance.com they have a couple of known companies here. so it's cool. actually there are things that we all have to consider. Age is a major consideration. Old vehicles pay a higher premium than new ones. The type and model of the vehicle has a major role also. When buying car/auto insurance online, there are sites that provide automated tools. They’re using an auto coverage analyzer where you have to answer a few question about your financial standing, automobile condition, etc. From this information it will generate what category of coverage you need.

Ah Leo wants a LGT as well I see.

When I called to get quotes this is what they told me.

Insurance company: New Jersey Manufacturers

Model: 2006 GT sedan

Location: Old Tappan, NJ (Bergen County)

Liability: not sure

Comprehensive Deductible: $1000

Your driving record: Not sure if I got a ticket from the last accident I had.

For this 2006 model it came out to $960 a year.

For this 2005 model it came out to $770 a year.

I guess I'll mention I'm 30, also insuring a 2002 Toyota Camry and married as well.

I'm most likely going with the 2005 model even though I am still checking out some 2006's just for the hell of it.

Sup Ray!! Your quotes aren't bad at all, esp. considering you're in NJ.

did you sell the lude yet? If so for how much if I may ask? I've been offered only $9500 for my 01' w/43k miles at the dealer, which is atrocious.

Personally I'm going to aim for a 07' model since its got new stereo and fold-down seats. Hoping to have enough for the Spec B but not sure if I can and whether its worth the premium. GL on finding a 05' now, unless you go used.

The Prelude will be sold in the next few days (meaning yes I have a buyer). I'll PM you the price later if I remember.

I bought a used 05 because I don't have a need for a Spec B and most of the new additions on the 07 (except the radio but I'll work on that on my own).
