  1. The PWM canbus module is not required for the Legacy if you don't have anytime running lights one the same light. Danny
  2. Consider this another vote against putting HIDs in High Beams, but with a small caveat. The main reasons they are not the best fit are because all HID lighting has a warmup period (usually 10-30 seconds or so, more noticeable off a cold start but always there to some degree - if you need a quick flash of light, like for signalling to pass, your lights will probably still be warming up while you need them) and the extreme brightness in a High Beam. You think people flash their lights at you for driving with your High Beams on when they're not necessary? High Beam HIDs will be overkill. That being said, if you're doing rural/mountain/off-roading/driving anywhere there aren't really regular light sources, or if you're going to turn your High Beams on and leave them on for extended periods of time, then HIDs could work for you. They're just not great for regular city driving or how most people tend to use those lights. ~Robert

There are various factors to this. - The age of the vehicle may have had something to do with this. - If a ballast is not low draw (Our Xtreme and Volt ballast are both low draw) - Some vehicles do need the relay harness and some also need a canbus because of the lighting system they may have. None of these apply with the Legacy. Danny
  5. It would be that simple! But to clarify, you can't connect the ballast directly into your factory harness unless it's a 9006 connector. We provide a trigger wire with our HID bulbs to allow you to connect the ballast to your factory harness where other style connectors are required. Just follow the steps @The Grey Goose posted - Danny
  6. @upstater - I'm assuming this was directed towards me, so I'll play along for a bit.. (1) HID conversion kits are illegal, but there is no doubt that they work better in some halogen headlights then others. (2) Your "retrofit" is just as illegal as an HID kit. If you're concerned about legality, then "unmodify" your headlights, and go back to halogen. Don't preach about legality when the modification you have done is just as illegal. (3) What sort of photometric testing have you done after your retrofitted your headlights to ensure that your new headlights comply with federal motor vehicles safety standards, and that they are not producing any glare? You've chosen to retrofit your headlights because you felt that it was the right thing to do - good for you. Coming on here and calling people "cheap" and "lazy" because they don't necessarily feel the same way you do is just wrong, and ignorant. Steve

  12. @aotus - I'm glad to hear that you're happy with the light output. The buzzing sounds will subside once the ballasts fully warm up, but it is normal to hear an audible buzzing sound from the ballast. Steve
