  1. I am pretty sure you can get the Polk db components to direct fit. Pretty decent speakers IMO.
  2. Id rip 'em a new one for doing anythign to my car without asking. I would then tell them to reinstall my washers for free and that i dont what them to ever do more than i tell them again.
  3. Ohh great now the hogzawst is expanding its vechile support. Here soon it will be too big for us Legacy owners. LOL
  4. Well its not a matter of wanting the money for Mods. I mean yes i will use some of my profits on the car to do stuff to the scobby but i still owe on the car. I cant have two payments while i am in school. I have been toying with trying to keep the car but then all my mod money goes away untill i can build some more up from on the side design jobs and such. The camaro is a beast and its faster than this scooby will ever be. It handles very well and is a great car. On the other side it makes cops pull you over because of how loud it is. It also cant go anywhere in the winter and in decent rain storm. Because its so fast it temps me to go fast. It has no room for any of my stuff or other people besides one. Its a super car for the weekend or someone that wants a sports car and has a daily driver / family car. Its a hard decision and i have been back and forth all summer. Anyone wanna buy the car for a coupld of years and sell it back to me? LOL
  5. Yeah well look at my Camaro in my sig. That was a whole project car that i am done with and its time to sell and start on this car. That is if i ever sell it. I love the car but i definatly cant have two while i am in school.
  6. Hey i work all summer so i can make my payment during school. I started at the engineering firm i am at before my senior year of high school. I am paid well and use that money towards my car and bills. And just in case you were wondering my parents dont pay for anything but rent. I pay tution, bills, car, gas, food and everything else. I am just very lucky to have such a good job and can afford my toys. Or it could be that i am just really really good. Who knows
  7. +1 Yeah i would love to do that but as i am a poor college guy i will have to wait utill i get out and start to make some real money.
  8. I agree that only time will tell if anythign bad is going to happen due to the additional opening. I think that if a rust out occurs it will be way down the road. Besides nothing helps the mod / upgrade process and decisions more than a broken part.
  9. I had some problems with mine initialy. Then i went and got out my breaker bar and they turned no problem. I found that it is easyer to put some vice grips on the nuts and use a socket / rachet with a breaker bar on the bolts. It was sooo soo soo much easyer that way. The bolts seem to be really soft to me but what the hell do i know. Keep trying they come off. Hogmeat i have to say i love the sound of the car now. Thanks alot for the work on the videos and all. Sounds great and so far no drone at any speed. Its purley a sound mod but definatly worth it.
  10. OK I see what you guys mean now. Another crazy idea to throw into the mix for you two. I am assuming that all the buttons for the radio controls have different resistances and that’s how it all works. If this is the case then can’t we still use only one set of controls and make a small board to switch from one set of resistances to another. Like mute= 2.2 ohms and mode= 1.7 ohms so a board and switch could then be fabbed to switch the load and send the desired signal. I am just making up numbers but I think it will help you get my concept. I am sure the first board will require some planning and thinking out but it seems doable. I am really split right now because I hardly ever use the shifter buttons on the wheel rather I use the stick. After seeing the crazy good aftermarket install with the pioneer it all might be for nothing as that is a project I want to take on. Anyone feel like a road trip or a meet up to do some crazy stuff? Let me know what you guys think about the switch idea.
  11. Hey guys i just got my legacy and its an auto so i might pioneer it. Trabbic i have been thinking about everyones ideas for the best of both worlds plan. Help me clear up some things so i can think it all through. You are saying that you are unsure we can have both because they both go into the same factory harness at the wheel? What if we ran all the wires back to the sterio and tapped in there and did not hook into the white harness under the wheel at all? We would have to find those wires at the back of the HU yes but i am sure we can get a wireing schem and figure it out. The only thing that we would have to look at it tapping into the shift buttons on one side and hooking up the night illumination wires. Seems to me that we could just spilt off of this wire(s) or find another wire to piggyback off of to get the button lights to work right. Does this sound right or am i way off base?
