  2. Not a dumb question - you need to see one to see how it works. Banjo bolts are designed such that there are no alignment issues. You could rotate one through a full 360 degrees. Oil flows through the middle of the bolt and out a hole that's under the banjo. The banjo forms a full circular flow path around the bolt, and out the hose affixed to the banjo (or backwards depending on application).
