  1. ^^^^^^^^ you should post some pictures of that beast in the "Hookup Wagon" thread
  2. Exactly the way I was thinking when I picked this turbo. I'm impressed with it… of course my only comparison is the stock vf40 and the vf39 I ran for about a year. If I were running a 5mt I would want it to spool a little quicker, but as it stands it feels great with the 5eat. Also, it might be because of its age but I can hear it spinning once I turn off the car. Sounds pretty cool.
  3. I’m seeing the same thing. I would like to see a few logs of someone running a solid 350whp so that I could do some comparisons. Anyone willing to share a few logs?
  4. Same here. Would love to see a few logs. I wish Infamous would plot my numbers using the same spreadsheet, hint hint Nice set-up and numbers btw. Would love to have access to e85
  5. It's been a while since I read this entire post so this might have been asked before. Is a 5mt a 5mt? Meaning, is there any difference between a 5mt in a 2.5I, GT, OB, OBXT? I would guess that the 5mt across the entire Legacy platform is the same but I could be wrong. Also, Is there a place I can look up and compare final drive ratios and gearing? Has anyone seen a thread that shows this in detail? Thanks
  6. It's strange. I just looked at it again and it's not hitting anything up front. It's actually too far back toward the motor. I'll have to take it a part this weekend to figure it out. Here's what I removed from the bottom of the core support.
  7. I went thru all 43 pages and pictures again. I really feel like mine is a tighter fit then the ones I saw. Thanks for the info, I'll keep messing with it.
  8. I recall someone else having this same issue but I can’t remember who or what page it was on. I have the new V.3 kit. Cold side pipe, from the core. To get it into the motor compartment I have to push it very hard towards the front of the car and when it finally goes in , it rests firmly on the timing cover (where the bolt was), with no space at all. The pipe seems to be about ½” to ¾” too long/wide. Anyone else experience this same issue? Ideas?
  9. Do you have any specs or pics posted anywhere that is not a pain for you to get me to. I am most likely not interested in a EAT, however I will take a look and see.
  10. Still working on it. Thanks for the summary.
  11. Nope. I loaded the driver, set the baud rate (com5 for me), installed ECUFlash, RomRaider (with definitions), Learning view and then tried. Since It's my first time with any of these software apps and after reading about Learning view, I thought testing learning view would be a simple way to test the cable connectivity. It wasn't.
  12. Has anyone simply done a learning view with the vag-com cable? It sems like a pretty simple way to test the connection but it did not work. I have the com port set as mentioned with the FTDI 2.4.16 driver. What am I missing? I also had trouble with the 1.29a version of ECUFlash. I uploaded it from megaupload.com but it will not launch. The newest version will launch fine.
