  1. I guess paypal still had my old address so Im thinking they went to the wrong house did they come back to you? I can swing by the old house and see if the new owner has them.
  2. need a E-brake boot and frame, drivers window switch, drivers window motor, center consol lid. shoot me a PM shipped to Omaha NE 68154
  3. Before the warranty extension was put in place I priced the dash pad and if I recall it was somewhere around 260. not to pricey but the install is the sucky part
  4. Mine had a clearly defined bulg where the passenger air bag was. After I took it back to the dealer they ordered me another dash and replaced it again. This also gave them a chance to fix the defroster duct that the tech had allowed a stray piece of foam to all but block off. That my have given me a better shot at haveing them re replace my dash. But the second dash is spot on and my defrost works as it should. Service advisor told me that the dash was installed correctly and that the plate/door that blows though the dashpad upon air bag deployment was causeing the distortion. So go talk to your dealer hopefully they will get you a new dash since the one they installed was defective. if they refuse, get a lawyer to give them a call
  5. When I got mine back I only had defrost on the passenger side and the passenger side air bag is bulging up through that new dash pad. I have another vist scheduled for Thursday for them to try again. Just goes to show you if you want it done right you have to do it yourself. Dealer is promising to make it right, we shall see
  6. Sorry to see you go still loveing my etune, now that the weather is warming back up I am seeing 50 more miles per tank and the power on tap is phenomenal. I can understand how time consuming it was but you helped alot of people. Still need to send you some cash for a tshirt sorry work went crazy and now they are going to collectible. Dave you will be missed still might come see you if I upgrade anything. Thanks again Jacob
  7. ten points for Subaru for stepping up and taking responsibility for their product. And to think this has pushed me to seriously considering a focus RS. I plan to wait as long as I can so I can get the most life out of this replacement dash. I assume that they are new old stock production dashes Subaru is installing and the same fate awaits the replacement dashes in 6years or so unless Subaru has some magic dash pad stabilizer they are including. so glad I can truly love my car again http://i534.photobucket.com/albums/ee341/Vinylpervert/833654ac-dfa0-47ff-ab92-06dfa258e094_zpsrzphgjcs.jpg http://i534.photobucket.com/albums/ee341/Vinylpervert/3289066b-f6a8-4525-95b2-3adc061e2c79_zpsagpltcnx.jpg
  8. Loving my new Stage2 Cryotune, Dave does a great job keeping you up to speed and in touch with him through out the process. Though each revision I could feel the car improving. Drivability is just as good as stock and the torque if explosive. Turbo spools up much faster. Dave has done a great job for not a whole lot of cash. I hope I can be happy here at stage2 where its still fairly inexpensive, But I know if I catch the HP BUG Dave will be getting the call. Stage2 mod list K&N Typhoon Intake Stock intercooler (reinforced end tanks) Cast Stainless Cobb up-pipe (wrapped) CNT Catted Downpipe (wrapped sans Cat) Magnaflow Cat Back NOW WITH BEASTMODE.............
  9. Either way this shows the Subaru has made a dashboard that is inherently unstable and they need to fix this problem. the plastic is obviously unstable they're testing would have proven this
  10. Rant warning U have been warned I love my car even for all her little short comings. But this is unforgivable I hadn't heard anything about this till 2 weeks ago. I was looking at http://www.carcomplaints.com/ and notched something about a class action lawsuit being brought against Subaru, opened the link and read about these people that have been having problems with a sticky dash pad that eventually devolves into a dash that's a safety hazard from glare. WOW sucks for them right, makes a guy wonder what they have been using on the dash right. Well I have had my Subaru in the garage all summer, working on the drivers door pinch seam rust problem and doing what I need to do to finally get my cryotune on. Time h as been tight so I just really started working on the juicy stuff 2 weeks ago. So time comes to mount my wideband and I run my hand over my dash and notice a certain "tacky" feel. So I go to pop out my side vent for my gauge mount and just attempting to slip the pry tool into the crack is damaging the dash pad... Turns out just siting in my garage the "plastic" on my dash has undergone a change in state. Its no longer a plastic its closer to rubber almost a what you would think un-vulcanized rubber would be crumbly in structure. I love my car always take the time to keep her sharp and clean. I probably have the low mileage record at 44k. I use McGuire's natural shine because I don't like that boyracer shine. Now it would seem that fate has other plans. Now what happens if Subaru does decide to do the right thing and replace everyone's dashes like Toyota is doing.. that buys me 9 more years what then. I still plan owning this car in 9 years(probably the only one that's thinking this way) they are not going to retool and crank out 50k dash pads with reformulated plastics so its only a matter of time till we are all back here again but by then there wont be any supply of dashboards. I see there television commercials with dad handing the keys over to his daughter that grew up in that car, its all BS by the time I hand the keys to my son the only thing left will be a pile of environmentally friendly soy goo. I think Subaru got over confident in their new eco friendly plastic and ruined the cars for me and thousands of others. On a side note I noticed that there's already guys on the BRZ forums complaining about sticky dashes, so I guess we are lucky we made it this far. So in closing join the class action lawsuit they sell these things with a image of longevity lets make them prove it.
  11. well I finally got around to installing my module every thing was going well till I got to reassembly. I had just finished installing the CD changer and the bottom plate when I noticed a surface mount component of some type lying on my work surface it’s a bit larger then all the other resistors (see pic) so I tore it all back apart and couldn’t find a trace of broken soldier any ware. The only thing that looks like it could be from is a little tab on the bottom of the changer (pics) Is this where it goes and how do I re adhere it to the tab I see no evidence of soldier on the chip is it glued down? I must have broken it off while resting the changer on the radio frame while installing the changer wire tape. HELP!!!!!! http://i534.photobucket.com/albums/ee341/Vinylpervert/PICT0007.jpghttp://i534.photobucket.com/albums/ee341/Vinylpervert/PICT0008.jpg http://i534.photobucket.com/albums/ee341/Vinylpervert/PICT0004.jpghttp://i534.photobucket.com/albums/ee341/Vinylpervert/PICT0001.jpghttp://i534.photobucket.com/albums/ee341/Vinylpervert/PICT0002.jpghttp://i534.photobucket.com/albums/ee341/Vinylpervert/PICT0005.jpg
