  1. The TCU takes inputs from the ecu based on engine load, throttle, rpm and engine estimated power. There will be a few other inputs, but those are what are critical to your venture.
  2. With the number of 2017+ 3.6's I have Tuned, some I have not registered yet on my site, the mods work with a tune.
  3. With a good exhaust systems which smoothes the tone to a rough racey one, the sound of the H6 is sweet like the early morning due. A nicely tuned one comes a little close to a Porsche defined powerful sound, but never the less, i don't think any owner should feel left out. I hope in the future to get myself an H6. Not sure if 3.0 or 3.6. i love the 3.0 2.0 behaviour. So it maybe just be the 3.0 H6. Recently my customers on my XRT group sent me a link for crate Subaru H6's. Not sure how well they perform or last, but they allow anyone to have a little beefier h6, especially for boost
  4. What I will advice is to have your tuner review all maps possible. Nothing wrong in asking questions. Where you are boosting more or differently or Turbo'ing an NA, these maps should be looked at.
  5. Being able to program the tcu would be great. One day we can have powertrain solution that can do it. I still lack the time and a car to do so. Keep the good work up.
  6. Its estimated and added by the engine mapper. It tells thr tcu how much pressure to apply to the clutches and holding of gears.
  7. Timothy: I have an active group that can help you. Email me if you are interested.
  8. Alex, most revisions I do is to finally break out girl in you and be a man. In other words, after working with Xtreme customers, I apply that change(s) to those who should have adjusted. Example...better aggressive throttle, better and firmer gear shifting and holding. Different in sound etc etc. In addition, sometimes in tuning, a customer do not have much time and close analysis shows you that you can extract a little more from some areas. I apply these changes to future tunes and sending out updates to customers who could appreciate them. As per usual because I drive you always look for that extra to feel you can do more
  9. Beside tuning, I think the best mods for the car:- Rotors Pads Suspension Tyres
  10. Thanks you very much in giving me the opportunity to rectify the issues you were having and once again, allowing you to enjoy your car to the fullest again. Its my great and wonderful pleasure you do - as a driver and tuner I am. It is nice to have a show car or a car being on show, but for me, having a car you can enjoy is more than being a show piece and a show room car. I hope you continue to progress in your mods and I hope (with my help) we continue to show the world the capability of the 3.6 documented. Please do enjoy you 3.6SC-XRT.
  11. Its no different. Do you mean for boost? If for boost, I will have to see the limits. All I will say the ECU been design to prevent you from boosting , but easier in a since with the 3.6 than the 3.0. In a way it is neither here nor there with either. Who would have love to see the B11S? That would have been Subaru only H6 Boosted.
  12. The tuning is going very well and exciting sometimes due to expectations of the owner and being build up to race through all the gears. I am waiting to see the final power and a log showing completely a race from stop to fifth gear and beating up the car to show stability. There have been extensive logging. Logs upon logs. So far the tuning directory is 200MB of logs. 67 logs taken so far. It has been good research and I am happy to share that with potential tunes to the 3.6 Boosted community. Every step was met with a limit that had to be exposed and removed. Some very subtle and only extensive logging and reviews highlights them. He is trying to get rid of the mental locks and blocks and only now doing stuff with the car that he couldn't do before for 1 year and in some cases, never did. This sometimes affects logging results, but it is good. It allow the building up of confidence and relationship building. The 3.6 Boosted tuning is interesting and I leave it for Italian to post his thoughts on the rebirth of his car through XRT. Attached is a small review from him and any reviews he will post here. http://xtremeracingtuning.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=657#p1992
