it should go away I had to resolder it like 3 times went away every time I fixed it. But then I just ended up saving up some money and buy a new map light console which is like a hundred and twenty something dollars and it never done it since

I'll just say you just take like a soldering iron and heat up the old solder until it melts it and it works just as good as putting new solder on my looked like it had grayness to the connections like corrosion

Probably the fact that I live in washington state which rains 75 percent or more a year

Yea i posted on this awhile back like a year and a half ago... it worked for a while. Kept having to solder the connections but it kept coming back every couple month so I just went to the dealership and bought a new overhead console for a hundred and some change. Havent had a problen since. But to anyone having this issue I would suggest soldering the connections first. Mine had two or three lights (LED'S )on the panel going out every once in awhile. Im glad I replaced it completely better than taking it out over couple months.

Ive been having my problems come when its cold too. now it has to with the passenger air bag console. Airbag light will come on, on the dash at the same time that happens I look up at my map light and one of the lights is off where should be like if it says on/ passenger light/ off in that order. Well depending if there is someone sitting there. Anyways I tried re soldering all the points awhile back started again when it reaches below 32 degress. Took out map light console once more resolderd everything and it works now but still have issues with middle light coming on but now my airbag on my dash is not on. This problem is very annoying but im thinking about finding a new chip that I have to keep soldering.

Sorry the pictures are horrible, it was dark out and I was using my headlamp. See the thread linked above for details on dis-assembling the SI-Drive, turned out I didn't even need to do that because the "grape juice" was spilt on the connector, which was easily cleaned with some q-tips & alcohol. To remove the brake boot, I gently pried it up starting in the front and moved around to the right. There are three sturdy clips on the right which were easy to unclip. Then just pull the boot up, the two clips on the bottom just slide up. At this point I also tightened up my e-brake, it was way too loose, now it fully engages at about 5-6 clicks. See picture below showing the bolt needing tightening, it's 10mm. Then to remove the center console, lift up and to the right at the same time, to slide off the white plastic clip, pictured below. This is easy but a bit trickier when putting it all back together. Then unscrew the two bolts in the console box below the carpetted liner. When putting back together, I found it easier to get in place and slipped into the white circular clip before putting the console box bolts back in. Now follow the steps in the thread above, I just removed the four screws and saw that the connector had stuff spilled in it. Hope this helps someone, thanks. Yea sorry. Anyway yea I had to solder all the points to get it to work, but none the less its working since this last weekend and no problems. I think everyone should try this first before they try anything else. Thanks everyone's comment's helped alot.

Im pretty sure my car is doing the same thing everyone elses is doing. I tried to the solder now the on air bag light works but the light that says "passenger airbag" doesn't come in? Should I re solder it see if it helps
