  1. I've been thinking about getting a new car. Not sure what level of vehicle or price you're after but I'm in Nevada. I have a 2009 OBXT with 102k. It's a twin scroll blouch 1.5xtr 5eat car on flex fuel with some extra work done. Lmk if you're interested in seeing some pics.
  2. Take a minute and read the post you’re referencing, it clearly explains nothing like what I posted. I’m just wondering why you insist on continuing on here. If you know better then kindly move along.
  3. Rhino- I believe that the Speedo healer fill work directly in the same manner for you.
  4. Msprank- technically the speed is determined at the wheel then the abs then the VDC to the ecu and finally processed through the cluster. If you run the scan tool after this correction you’ll find that the display and the ecu value don’t match. I believe that the instrument cluster really only houses a stepper motor driver. it’s always obvious when the answer is presented. I hope that the information presented will help as my searches didn’t resolve my questions.
  5. Got speedohealer to work on my 2009 Outback. Can now adjust the speedometer to account for the 3mph difference lol. Earth shattering event.
  6. Hey guys. Not sure of the best place to post but wanted to let everyone know that I was able to apply a speedometer correction to my 2009 Outback XT. I know that its not a huge deal but I believe that this can be applied over multiple applications like most can-bus, abs and vdc equipped vehicles including STi for those that are interested. The reason that I mention it here is because when I searched before the results I found (and instructions from manufacturers) said that this was not possible due to the proprietary can-bus protocol. I hope this helps... I used the Healtech SH-V4 https://www.healtech-electronics.com/products/sh/ A little background, I have an automatic which has 6 speed sensors. I believe the manual trans is only 4 speed sensors. None of this will matter with this method. Our speedometers are driven by stepper motors which means digital signal (similar to a wheel speed signal). The wheel speed sensor is typically fed into the transmission computer, then processed and sent to the vdc(if equipped) and/or the abs computer. In my case the vdc and abs signal wires are merged and this signal is fed to the speedometer where an additional processor converts for use with the speedometer. Rather than intercept the wheel speed sensor wire before the computers for all 4/6 sensors with the Healtech or convertor I intercepted the signal just upstream of the speedometer processor with one converter. (Plug B34 Pin 21 Green with Black Stripe). My plug was vertical just below the glove box. (I'll add pics later) This is similar intent to using the healtech convertor on a motorcycle. 7. If you’re careful you can cut out and it looks pretty darn good. It’s what I did with mine. I currently run a set of 2014 Sti mufflers. I’ll try to grab a photo for you in the daylight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Bump for a great car. I’ve got an ‘09 auto outback. For those of you wondering the 5eat is very capable with a valvebody. I run flexfuel and more than 24 psi as a daily using the oem paddle shifters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’ve also got one that installed last week for my ‘09 5eat. One of the best mods I did for the car. Car feels very well matched at 22+psi on flex fuel with the way it shifts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Just installed one of @%1; valve bodies on my 09 5eat and it is awesome. Shifts are less than half the speed and feel much more confirmed. Currently running flexfuel on a gtx3071 TS and it feels much better than the mushy stock engagement. I know it’s an old thread but just wanted to put it out in the open that there is an option for 08-09 folks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Just got done making my own- you know 2004-07 style painted black to match the 08-14 fronts. Not too hard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Interested in crossbars to 89123 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I’m almost there. Got a bit of tease with a response but no follow up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
