  1. Are you still looking for the JDM pinout for the LGT? Dwolson2@gmail.com (radio)
  2. Hey Tom... Let me start by saying Great Work.. Even with my EE degree, I wouldn't want to start cutting things away as you did.. So I ordered the JDM 2x DIN kit and will try and hack it myself ( I can't wait anymore for someone else to get that going ! ).. My question to you is about your idea of placing the XM Ant under the hood scoop.. I have a LGT Wagon with the spoiler over the rear window.. I think I will take you lead and place the ant inside of this spoiler.. I talked to the local Subie dealer and they showed me how to take it off.. Would you still recommend going in this direction or have you had second thoughts based on the reception you get with the ant under plastic.. -Fiche
  3. Being a EE myself ( although it's been a number of years since I did hands on electronics, it makes sense to me to bypass the crude mixer circuit and merely have a manual switch. The mixer circuit will actually now mix in any hiss / unclean noise the CD player produces. ( I can't imagine that a crappy radio produces a clean signal ).. Jazzy, maybe you have the answer to this .. Have you placed the CD-OUT line on the scope and observed a near 0db signal ? If there is anything on this line, then I would want to add a manual ( high quality ) switch to bypass this signal.. ( This switch would need to have a very low ohm rating such as not to degrade the signals being sent through it.. Thoughts ??? I am extremely interested in this solution.. However, I will even place an external audio switcher in the cubby ( or elsewhere ) to be able to switch between Sat Radio / iPOD / or other audio source.. Has anyone done this ? I am looking for such an external audio switcher that is has a very small footprint .. -Fiche
