  1. Nice pick up. I'm running staggered offset 18x10 VS-XXs on my WRX. They were originally 18x8s though.
  2. Bought them as 18x8 +51s from a member here and powdercoated and relipped them to 18x10 +25.
  3. I just rebuilt a set of my own. http://i.imgur.com/e1oqIv2.jpg
  4. ^ That. I ran an 18x8 +45 with 225/40s on Tein H-techs and had to roll the rear fenders because it rubbed on the bigger bumps. That was also with S.Drives which run a little wider.
  5. You are correct sir. I forgot that backspace is lip to lip when offset is bead seat to bead seat.
  6. Backspacing is the opposite of offset. 8" width is 203mm, making the center line 101.5mm so a +55 offset means that the mounting face is 55mm closer to the outside lip than the inside lip from the centerline. Therefore, it has a 156.5mm/6.1" backspace. So you would probably want a backspace between 135-150mm/5.5"-6" for an 8" wide wheel.
  7. I'm not here to debate "real" vs. "fake" wheels. I've owned Works, Rays, Rotas and now fifteen52s and have had zero issues with any of them driving on some really crappy roads with low profile tires. You're going to have to provide more information than just a broken wheel. Smoking a curb at 50mph will break any wheel. I could go and find a few pictures of a broken "real" wheels if I felt like it. On top of that, fixing a bent "real" wheel will cost as much as replacing one broken Rota.
  8. An 8.5 with a square set up like that is probably running a 235/40 or 245/35 tire.
  9. I ran a 205/50/17 on my LGT for winters if that helps at all.
  10. To be fair, that probably would have cracked a Rota or shattered an XXR.
  11. That seems pretty heavy for an SSR. My 18x9.5 Brotas weigh just over that.
  12. Not on a Legacy, but I think they would look good on one if someone is looking for a BBS/mesh-y feel but doesn't want to do the Linea Corse Lemans that everyone seems to run on Subies. They have a relatively deep face too. Rota MXR 18x9.5 +38 http://i939.photobucket.com/albums/ad236/flat4LGT/44ea96ec-45d1-43b1-8a9a-dccc9a6105e9_zpsc5491054.jpg
  13. The GD Impreza/WRX/STi also uses the Q78 with 48" crossbars, so you can look on NASIOC general classifieds for a rack set up.
  14. Width Is bead to bead. The width should be stamped on the inside of the spoke design somewhere too.
