  1. as far as i'm aware, the later strut mount should fit fine. the bolt spacing looks to be the same; the later part just appears to have more material where the shaft is bolted to the mount: zenki: http://web.archive.org/web/20190529162000if_/https://www.rockauto.com/info/63/SM5764.jpg kouki: http://web.archive.org/web/20190529162005if_/https://www.rockauto.com/info/63/SM5765.jpg unfortunately, this is only conjecture, as the are not parts physically in front of me. someone with experience on pre- and post-facelift models would need to confirm. it's interesting that the aftermarket have a unique part number for the MY10-12 BM/BR, while the MY13+ shares the part number with the third and fourth gen impreza, and related platforms [GR, GP, VA, SJ, etc.] that have similar rear multilink design.
  2. 225/50-17's should work since that's the stock size for the same model year 3.6R, which have the same 17x7.5 wheels. with an OD of 25.9", they have plenty of clearance, so a slightly taller 26.4" OD [such as a 235/50-17] should physically fit just fine. nevertheless, this may throw off your speedometer, but that might not necessarily be a bad thing since subaru speedometers tend to read high.
  3. the AJ08A appears to be the fitment for the lighter 2.5i 6MT front end, while the AJ10A appears to be for the heavier 2.5i CVT or 3.6R 5EAT, so the heavier 2.5GT should probably go with the heavier option for the spring. as for the struts, i'd look into the 2013+ fitment [kyb 3340106 and 3340107 front, 340043 rear], since the damping would better match the higher rate 2013+ springs.
  4. did your 23mm bar have multiple settings for stiffness, or was it non-adjustable? currently have the 20mm va bar, but considering an adjustable 22mm. do you think it would be worth the upgrade? i'd probably keep it on the softest setting whilst on 420 treadwear no-seasons, with the ability to bump it up upon upgrading to stickier rubber. just curious where the bridge too far would be on a street car.

  6. thanks for the information! you wouldn't happen to know any of the part numbers for the sport suspension options for the RoW legacy/liberty, so i know what to look for on the overseas marketplaces? if they are underdamped with the Excel-G, i might need to look into Cusco Touring A's or similar fixed perch struts.
  7. i enjoy the ride height of the stock 2013, but after 120k miles, the struts will be replaced with a set of new Excel-G's. since these are supposed to have ten percent increased damping, they should not be too underdamped with something like RCE Blacks; however, 20mm is a little more than i care to lower the car. King has a standard height spring for the rear [KSRS-58]; unfortunately, they only offer a lowering spring for the front [KSFL-42, which is interestingly the same part number for the 4th gen]. is anyone aware of any other options that offer increased spring rate at or near stock ride height? alternatively, i was reading a thread on the forester forums that 2010+ takeoffs would lower an SH forester 2 inches, so has anyone tried forester/crosstrek lowering springs on their legacy for improved handling with zero to minimal drop?
  8. i know the car is brand new, but does anyone make dual drilled (5x100/5x114.3) replacement rotors for the 2018 sti? since these brackets adapt 12.6" ats calipers to 326mm 2004-2017 sti rotors, perhaps 13.6" 2014+ cts/2016+ camaro calipers can be used with 340mm 2018 sti rotors? while you won't get the benefit of six piston calipers, you should enjoy greater braking capacity with the bigger 'heatsinks' of the 2018 sti discs without spending ~$4k for the full sti setup.

  10. for practical purposes, yes; nevertheless it'd be nice to have the jdm part labels and pink coils for a more authentic tS conversion [if you care for that sort of thing].
