  1. I've never owned less then two cars, you gotta have something to drive when one breaks down. Up until this past august I had 2 cars, 1 truck, and 1 Boat, I just sold one of the cars. p.s I'm only 20 and I've been on my own since I was 16, You don't HAVE to go to college to succeed in life I'm living proof
  2. I have a Friend with the exact same car, I'm not a VW guy well except for the Corrado but this is a very nice car. With a new grill some tint and a set of rims its pretty sweet. I've never heard one with an exhaust but I cant imagine it would sound that bad. If I were you I'd buy it if you like it. Just be prepared for two things: #1 Expensive to get fixed and a HUGE pain in the butt to work on #2 Reverse is where 1st is in US and Japanese cars THIS ONES VERY IMPORTANT lol
  3. If theres anyone on here in the New England area "within 6hrs of Massachusetts" and you blow a Head Gasket Let me know. most shops charge a pretty penny to fix the head gasket along with everything else you broke, but I know a performance shop the specializes in Subaru performance and they do head gaskets for $750 or so if I remember correctly
  4. haha i dont know what i would have done if that ever happend to me lol g2g to sleep gotta work in the am
  5. yea im hopeing to put mine in the water in the next week or two
  6. funny story my junior yr in High School I had parked in the school parking lot and there was a kid parked in front of me that had backed his ford explorer into his spot. so after school as I'm walking out to my car i see the tailgate is open and theres like 5 people behind his SUV. so anyway when i came around the side of his explorer one of his Friends was sitting on my hood left a nice dent.........so i didn't say anything as i walked up and broke his nose ha ha one punch right in the face. to be fair everyone in school new about my car and that i raced it and how much $$$ was invested in it so no one every came anywhere near it till this kid lol he was the last one to touch it without permission ha ha
  7. I've had 9 cars/trucks/suvs in the 5 1/2 years i've had my license and i've always hated selling them if i hadn't left vermont and moved down here i would have kept them all, my apartment in VT had a huge driveway so i could keep collecting cars, but down here i dont have as much room and In North Carolina you have to pay taxes on everything you own every year, so i parted ways with everything but 2 cars 1 truck and 1 boat until last august when I sold my civic. and same here i've only let one freind drive mine only because he's my best freind and i'd take a bullet for him, other then him no one even touches my car lol
  8. me and my suby have been threw allot together, its gonna be sad seeing someone else drive away in it and never see it again. lol I've prolly put as many miles on the back seat as I have the car itself lol if only that car could talk LMAO
  9. lol well thats cool. I've never been in an accident unless you consider ripping my mirror off in a rally race I got a little to close to a tree lol but i was going about 80 so it didn't hurt the car just the mirror which is easily replaced. and well I've had other catastrophic mechanical failures like my rotors disintegrating a 120 on the track ha ha that was fun!
  10. I've worked my but off to pay for all those parts, and everything i ever won racing went into that car. I'm only 20 and I bought the car in September 2005. I just want to make it clear that I'm not a spoiled rich kid, I make more money then my dad does lol, so everything I have I've earned the hard way. sry had to put that in I get allot of people that see what i have and attribute that to have rich parents which i do not. Anyway yes me and my Friends did all of the work which helped keep the cost down, with the exception of the paint. It was allot of fun for the most part. I donno how much stuff you've replaced on your's so far but some of the stuff is a major PIA lol like installing the rear strut tower bar what a head ache.
  11. i haven't had any issues with mine except for the head gasket, granted 90% of my Subaru is brand new so I guess it don't count
  12. yea that would suck, i was about 4 hrs and 250 miles or so from home when mine did it, i had to have AAA tow it 100 miles "there limit" then had my neighbor drive the rest of the way down he owns his own towing company in his truck and tow it the rest of the way back lol
  13. Yep I was in the middle of a SCCA Rally Cross Event and poped the head gasket , not so much fun lol
  14. yea i havnt experianced the new ones yet i got a good old 7.3 been around forever, i dont have anything against cummins i just like a good loud diesel haha just figured i'd throw this last part in........NOW back to the subarus lol
