  1. This vehicle is obviously a great option, given the R&D can be split across three models (Subaru, Toyota, and the rumored Lexus variant). That said, I would really like to see more PHEV options. It seems to me that the Ascent and Outback could command the premium that comes with that tech, whereas the Crosstrek really cannot.
  2. I feel like your average Subaru buyer doesn't care. Case in point, look at how many people buy the 2.5L Outback, which struggles to get out of its own way...I have one! So I honestly don't think that these buyers are considering number of cylinders. More so, the practicality offered by the vehicles such as the Forester, Ascent, and Outback.
  3. With a 6MT I think that SOA could get some WRX converts. ...but perhaps that's what they don't want.
  4. My buddy is in purchasing at Enterprise and they have been purchasing Legacies, Outbacks, and Foresters for the past few years. ....Subaru also indicated to him that they intend to capture some of the sedan market that Ford is abandoning.
  5. While I am delighted for the return of the XT, this is not the row your own gears fun LGT that I used to own. Keep the WRXs coming I guess...
  6. I'll give you that. I replaced one broken transmission on my '05 with a used one, that ultimately stopped shifting into 1st gear from neutral.
  7. It seems like there will be definitely be a 2.5L, given that the new Forester features a DI 2.5L. Dissapointing. And I'm certain the Ascent's in 2.4L will appear in the Legacy, Outback, and Forester, with the same specs, but given its ability to run on regular. My guess is that we won't see the GT again. Which, consumers like me might look toward Audi for a fun, AWD sedan in the future....thus I hold out hope for the return of the GT.
  8. I mean, one could hope that there is a 2.4L R model and 2.0L GT....
  9. Yeah, that's what I said. Until the dealer offered us $8k for our Honda.
  10. I feel the same way. Every time that I drive the Outback, I really am impressed with the way that the CVT behaves.
  11. Bring back the LGT and I'll be interested. I feel like I gave up a lot fo the refinement when I gave up the GT for the WRX....I mean, I have no regrets, but I want to have my cake and eat it too.
  12. I want them to buy the vehicle back and get an Outback. However, we don't need two car payments in the midst of also buying a house.
  13. Yes. I know that it's ridiculous to gripe about it, but then rental isn't even close to the vehicle that we paid for.
  14. Got the recall on our CRV. Said it may be up to 2 years before we get a new airbag. In the mean time Honda is paying for us to have a Chevy Sonic. It's a nice gesture, but it's quite smaller and crappier than a CRV...waiting for the comeback of the Outback XT.
