  1. I didnt have to tune just for the 6mt swap
  2. Update: Drive shaft is OK, it was ball bearings in the CV joint failed. Shifter OK too...just needed a new bracket (35046FE010 i think). My friend cut and welded mine to line up the shifter. Todo Bueno!
  3. The drive shaft used was from a wrecked 07 4EAT wagon so the drive shaft could've been already busted, but it drove around OK for about 5 minutes...and the SPT SpecB shift lever is off where it won't go into reverse with the bezel installed (interference). Will need to look into this more, but thinking of trying STi Shift linkage as well. Does or did anyone have issues regarding the shift linkage and driveshaft similar to mine?
  4. My friend is finishing up the 6MT swap on the wagon and there were a couple of things that came up. We used a 4EAT drive shaft which seemed a bit long and when taking it for a road test, the splines in the mid-prop shaft disengaged sounding like broken gear teeth mis-meshing. The prop shaft my friend installed came out of a sedan and should it have come out of a 4EAT wagon? I'm using an '08 tranny with an r160 rear diff and was wondering if anyone has used this combo and what drive shaft / length was used? Lastly, the shift lever is offset toward the passenger side. A specB SPT short shift lever was used and I'm wondering if anyone performed mods to the shift linkage/brackets to center the lever. Thanks in advance for your help / suggestions
  5. Interesting, I was skeptical since the free length differences were huge between the pinks and the USDM spec B springs as shown. I was on a hunt for the ST2033021010, but it seems the free length is approx to the ST2033021020 spring. I'll move forward with the sprinGs I have, and keep the folks here updated on the outcome. Also, do I need JDM top hats to go with STi Pinks, or can I use the USDM Spec B top hats? Thanks!
  6. I purchased some pinks and USDM Bilstein Struts recently. The rear springs (ST2038021010) mounted to the struts perfectly. However, when I removed the front stock springs from the strut, the USDM spec B springs had a much larger free length than my STi Pinks (ST2033021020 for a GT-B Sedan Manual). I wanted the ST2033021020 springs to drop the front end more than the recommended spring (ST2038021010 - GT Wagon Auto and Manual.) on my '05 wagon, but the free length of the spring seems way too low. I was wondering how much the free length on the ST2038021010 spring compared to the ST2033021020 spring. I've included pics of the ST2033021020 next to the USDM Spec B spring for comparison. Should I continue with this spring or go with the ST2038021010 spring? Any help would be greatly appreciated http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm72/eorbeta/IMG_4194.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm72/eorbeta/IMG_4193.jpg
