  4. Great Success!! I got it working just now, but I have the volume at 40 and it sounds like its at 15. So I'm going to take apart my dash again tomorrow and make sure all the connections are tight. Thanks jazzy, you rawk. I'll send you back the old one some time within the next few days. I have a lot going on right now.
  5. Still no luck with my aux-in board... any ideas?
  6. It only says you can put it in either way on the aux-in circuit board. I made sure to put it in the right way in the actual stereo.
  7. In the instructions it says that the ribbon cables can be inserted either way into the circuit board. In the actual stereo the side of the cable with the wires exposed comes in contact with the side of the port with the wires, so I'm pretty sure they aren't in the wrong way there.
  8. I just got done putting everything back together the way it used to be. I'll do that after school tomorrow. What would that mean if there are/aren't 14 soldered pins and one empty hole? Again, thank you for being so helpful. Edit: Jesus, sleep deprivation is a bitch. Not sure what I was thinking when I typed that. But uhh... Yeah, there are 14 soldered holes and one empty one on each the to CD Changer and the to Amp sockets
  9. Heh, I actually just came back upstairs from doing that, and it works without the aux-in board installed. I'm going to go back in and make sure all the ribbons are facing the right way and are in the right places. I'm almost positive I had them right before, seeing as I tried reconnecting them multiple times. Edit: No success. When I put it in with Aux-In board, cd will not load. Without Aux-In board, it loads. Edit 2: Possible defect?
  10. Yeah, that didn't work. Edit: Sorry about the double posts.
  11. Hmm, there were only two long screws, and I put them in the two holes on the top of the face plate. I'll try it again with the faceplate on without the screws holding it up. I've already tried reconnected the ribbon cables and made sure they were snug. Thanks again for your help.
  12. Well this sucks. I plug stereo back into the car and well, the little rubber wheels that normally pull the CD into the CD tray refuse to spin.
  13. I have a 2.5i '06 Legacy and I'm having trouble installing my aux-in board. I have the single CD head unit. I've almost got all the wires in the back of the air conditioning unit disconnected. There is one blue cable that is connected to the Temp. control that is confusing me. It's really hard to access and I don't see any way of disconnected it. There is a white roundish piece of plastic that is connected to the A/C unit that has said blue cable running through it. I know this blue cable is connected to the temp. control because when I turn the temp. knob, said cable moves in and out. Because I can't disconnect this part, I can only take the entire head unit so far out. I'm able to pull the right side of the head unit out much further than the left(obviously, seeing as the cable is on the left). Any single CD head unit owners experience similar difficulties?
