pdlpusher - isn't that alarm light flashing normal? It flashes maybe every 5 seconds or so right? That already happens on my 08 Outback. And thanks for letting us know it worked out.

bump. A couple of us have asked about '08's for this mod because apparently the wires are colored differently. Any successful '08 mods? Share the details if it worked for you - Thanks!

Anyone else try this successfully on an '08 Legacy or '08 OB? I was about to do this mod today but Jeffh's post above gives me pause (he says the wiring color codes are different - true??). I don't want to waste time taking a panel off in the cold.
