  1. Update: something finally broke in my clutch. After letting the car sit for like five months (there are other cars I could drive in the family and mine is frequently parked in anyway), I took it to a shop to have the clutch replaced. Turns out the clutch itself was not bad, but the snout on the transmission was all chewed up and the throwout bearing basically disintegrated. If you’re in a mostly stock car, and the clutch pedal is really stiff, it might be worth having someone drop the trans and take a look. I ended up installing the TSK3 sleeve kit over my very chewed up and kind of broken transmission snout. The shop recommended looking for a used transmission, But those things are not growing on trees for Outback XTs. I didn’t trust that I would be able to get a good one for a good price in a reasonable amount of time…
  2. Thanks for responding! What would you want for a case? I presume it has a good snout? Any idea on the shipping $ damage (Chandler, AZ 85248)? Regards, Doug
  3. Thanks for responding! Just to clarify, these are OBXT transmissions? It is my understanding that because of the gearing (4.44), these are unicorns not used in any other Subarus. As far as shipping goes, I think they get banded to a pallet and shipped by truck. I’ve never shipped or received anything like that myself though... Regards, Doug
  4. Update: based on time and expense, I decided to put a TSK3 kit on my original transmission... Howdy folks. Well the thing that’s wrong with my clutch turns out to be the snout of the transmission is trashed. Maybe one of those PDM TSK3 kits might save it, but it would be iffy. Best solution that doesn’t break the bank would be finding a decent used transmission. Anybody got one, that you’re willing to ship to Arizona, or any good leads? I don’t see many of these things around, and rebuilt or new is too much money... Thanks, Doug
  5. **SOLD** Genuine Subaru accessory 5 speed leather shift knob that was purchased for my 1997 five-speed Outback. It is well used, but there is nothing wrong with it (stitching isn’t worn through or anything). Pretty sure it will fit any 5 speed manual Subaru, but I only ever tried it on the '97. Pics: https://photos.app.goo.gl/rNLvLXsRoWc5dRXU7. $25 shipped PP goods and services. Thanks for looking, Doug
  6. **SOLD** Kartboy aluminum 5 speed Knuckleball shift knob anodized in gray/smoke. It has a tiny scratch on it that’s much more obvious in this picture than IRL, and it comes with some Kartboy stickers and a yellow button that can replace the black one on it I had it on my '07 but I'm pretty sure it will work on any 5 speed Subaru. Pics: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Nq4JMWn1f9iYnrJg9. $35 shipped PP goods and services. Thanks for looking, Doug
  7. New lower price, $450 shipped for the Konis. I am certain that is unbeatable. Also, I can't seem to edit my original post right now, so here is a bit more info on the LGT wagon stuff... It is a complete set of front and rear springs and struts/shocks, removed at ~90K miles IIRC. Fronts are disassembled, rears are intact. I bought the jumbo pipe cutter that is recommended for gutting the fronts for the Koni inserts and I would be willing to do that before shipping (much lighter). I could probably also take the rears apart and send just the springs, etc...
  8. SOLD I have an unused set of Turnin Concepts 3/8" saggy butt spacers and Engalls Engineering rear camber bolts that were intended to be used to put a full STi take-off suspension on my (long gone) '97 Outback. Here is the thread with the work I planned to replicate: https://sl-i.net/FORUM/showthread.php?13339-SVO1-S-97-Ob-Update-09-06-2011-custom-grille-jdm-markers&p=186223#post186223. Pics: https://photos.app.goo.gl/PX4gv4xebwDAmU7w5. $35 PP goods and services shipped to you for these. Doug
  9. Howdy folks. These were custom machined to take up the space between a non-STi knuckle and STi front struts. I bought these years ago to put and STi take-off suspension on my ‘97 Outback. I ended up selling the car and getting a newer one without ever using them, and I finally got rid of the STI takeoff yesterday. You will still need to drill and slot the STI housings or weld and re-drill, but the spacers are the slick way to fill the gap. Here is a Scoobymods the thread about them: https://www.scoobymods.com/showthread.php/modify-05-sti-front-struts-12527.html?p=117009#post117009. $15 PP goods and services mailed to you! Doug
  10. Yes, not reading through 25 pages of frequently not helpful comments. There is an Outback section on the first page, no 18 inch Forrester or newer Outback wheels are listed there (probably because they don’t fit). All of the 18 inch Forrester and outback wheels that I came across, 7 inch or 8 inch width, are 55mm offset which puts them much further inboard than the stock wheels. I really wasn’t considering aftermarket 18 inch wheels for a couple reasons, so it looks like it’s a no go for me, which is also much cheaper
  11. Sorry, I obviously wasn’t clear enough. I have a complete set of Legacy GT wagon shocks and struts with springs etc. that I was going to use with the Konis on my Outback XT. I’ll give someone a great deal on the Legacy stuff, I was thinking you pay for shipping and they’re otherwise free, if they buy the Konis and want it. Doug
  12. ***These are sold...*** Howdy folks. I bought these several years ago, along with a complete set of LGT wagon take-offs, intending to put them on my 07 OBXT. I never did, and ended up buying a set of JDM SpecB Bilstein take-offs instead. These have never been out of their boxes, $450 shipped in the lower 48 states. Pics: https://photos.app.goo.gl/HHZ1JjmKN1N1DjuMA. Otherwise, shoot me a message and I’ll send you whatever pics you’d like to see Thanks, Doug P.S. I’ll give you a killer deal on the LGT wagon stuff if you want it, will need some shipping $ for that though...
