  1. Will the Throttlehappy tune work with Cobb maps yet
  2. Started noticing some weird problems. When the car is in a high gear like OD or 5th gear. And when jt downshifts it shakes sometimes. Also when it is in OD and its taching a low rpm it shakes sometimes.
  3. I will get my Time Slip up at some point. Ran a 13.96 at 97mph with an RT of .002! Stage 2 5eat Shorty DP Stock Catback STi UP Was hoping for more of a 13.6 run, but was happy when I raced my buddy in his Stage 2+ 2012 STi. We were even up until mid 3rd gear.
  4. looking to trade a set of spec B rims (06-07) that need a re paint for a suspension setup that is better than stock
  5. It is possible that my jb welded tmic is leaking. I will have to buy a vag com/tactrix to log. It could be my OTS cobb map however, wouldn't I have had this happen earlier? If it were a transmission problem what other things would I notice when it starts to slip. I do have rough downshifts sometimes
  6. And yes it does seem the dead spots are near the same spot
  7. Its intermittent. I am a very paranoid driver so it could be me. I tried checking my boost gauge when i did a pull but it seemed to stay at 17psi the during the dead spots. Im gunna drive it again and see if it changes. Cant wait to get my damn valve body ugh.
  8. Today I went for a drive and did a 3rd gear pull. IT felt like there were dead spots in the power band. Kind of like a bump feeling when it hit this "dead spot" not sure if anyone has ever experienced this. Time for a fluid flush, new filter, and tcu re learn I guess. Cobb Stage 2 for 5,000 miles
  9. So you are saying with a VB and a cooler the tranny would be safe at around 350whp? Are there any alternatives to IPTs kit
  10. Thanks for the tips...yea the fluid is cherry red, however I have not changed it in the time I have owned it so when I get home from college I am going to change it to be safe. And this summer I am going to be buying a valve body from you as well to be safe. From what I have read the clutch packs are the weak link. Has anyone had any success of just buying IPT's cluctch packs and having a trusted trans builder install them? That seems like a good option. I dont want crazy power. But I would love to do a vf52/BNR turbo.
  11. Its actually not too bad....feels more like im driving a 5spd...a very slow shifting 5 spd
  12. Stage 2 Cobb OTS.....The only times I have ever really got on it and never lifted were when I was at the strip (stock levels) and when a did a few pulls against my buddy on the interstate around 2am. Car has 120k miles. Owned by an old lady and serviced by a dealer until I got it at 100k miles
  13. When i go for spirited drives and shift the 5eat manually i always lift fully off the gas in 1st and 2nd when i rev it high. In 3rd or 4th i lift only slightly. I do this in fear of beating up the clutch packs. Is this a good or bad idea.
  14. Its not enough that we ABP guys dont have our own stickey. Now our guys are jumping ship and posting here lol
