  1. Hey thanks! I love this thing! Miles more feature-filled and quicker than any of the Pioneer AVICs (junk) or Kenwoods I've had in the past. I just put the video review up today here. Sorry I'm such a crappy video editor put most of the major points come across. No, I didn't do the steering wheel controls cuz my car didn't come with them on the wheel. I would have done so on my old Spec B though. The harness is already there in the car. You just need the matching harness from SvX and some sort of adapter/control-unit.
  2. Got Parrot? After weeks of consideration, I pulled the trigger on the Parrot Asteroid Smart. I'm a geek. I want all kinds of apps, bells, whistles and unusual abilities in my Head Unit. I've had many cars over my 25 years of driving including several Nav/GPS head units. IMO, all of them have sucked royal ass for various reasons including slowness, piss-poor GPS apps, slow response times (#1 complaint), slow booting, blaa blaa blaa. Anyway, I installed this system yesterday thanks to this forum - of course - SVxDc, AVOturboWorld, etc. And damn! I love this thing! It's already rooted via Framaroot (easy), and apps side loaded! I'll do a full video review in a few weeks and post it here. I've only been using it for 24 hours. Really quick though: * If you have any sort of basic mechanical/electrical skills and have done simple car stereo installations in the past, this install (with any head unit) will he a walk in the park. Don't be daunted. Most everything is color-coded or labeled. I soldered all my connections cuz I'm OCD. * The Parrot harness has a connector on the other end which looks like it's intended for "standard" EU plugs maybe. You'll have to cut it off to do your connections. * Parrot has two grounds, one of which is stupid-easy to just connect to and ground out the parking break and allow you (ehem.. passenger) to have full functionality while driving. I know they have to address legal issues/liability, but they couldn't possibly have made the bypass any easier for the most ignorant of installers. * The interface is the fastest I've ever seen of all my Clarions, Kenwoods and Pioneers over the years. * The iGo Nav app is weird but works well. It's smooth like butter. There's a bit of a high learning curve for functions but I got it down in a day more or less. * It's all touch-screen. Swipe up or down for volume (really nice) and left/right for switching stations for example (easy on the road without looking down). * It's got Wifi, 3 usb inputs, micro-usb input, iPod/iPhone input, etc. Full review to come. Overall, I'm very, very happy with the way this install went and particularly, this head unit. http://www.nyccs.net/images/console2.jpg
  3. Spotted NYC/LI. 07/08 Spec B, mesh grill, tint coming of CIP southbound onto GCP east. Gave a honk as I passed by into Lake Success.
  4. My bad. I get the '07s and '08s mixed up sometimes. The spoiler is a K2 from Japangear. I want the whole K2 front end so bad but 2 kids now, 2 jobs, and a mortgage have put the kabosh on all extraneous expenses like an (ehem) unnecessary $3500 front end Nice ride!
  5. Spotted a debadged silver '07 LGT with a bike rack at the Shirley, NY 7-Eleven at I-495 Exit 68 today =) Waved hi!
  6. Spotted sittin' in the weeds silver LGT Wagon with STi sticker parked in Hell's Kitchen this evening. Nice.
  7. Wow! Amazing! Congrats dude! That said, I'd really like to see much more of apples to apples comparisons rather than the typical apples to oranges on this board. In other words, we routinely get E.T.'s and dynos of lovely numbers and curves under extreme (read: non-street) conditions - usually in the form of E85 (not available everywhere), various forms of race gas not used on the street typically/regularly, and accompanying high-boost targets and track tunes.
  8. Sorry it took so long to respond man. I never look at this page! PM me next time. The lip is K2 Gear from Japanparts.com (vendor) :)
  9. Spotted a nice 05-06 Red GT in my near my "Pilgrim Psych Center" office today. Drive out there once in a while. Usually at Park Ave or Lake Success. Nice ride. Had "Legacy GT x" sticker (I don't get it) and black pseudo-mesh rims.
  10. Let us reflect on what has happened here and pray...
  11. How come you didn't start the OP with the known ones from the original thread?
