  1. Anyone have a good suggestion for brakes in the long beach/southbay area?
  2. Yup. I took the jazzy out completely, reassembled it, and powered it up with the same problem.
  3. If I need one, I'll let you know. I'm going to head out and work on it now.
  4. Yeah, I checked the volume. I tried everything from 1-40 and I'm not getting any sound whatsoever. I checked the radio harness too. I actually checked it about 10 times. It always seemed to be securely plugged into the back of the radio. I guess I'll need to check and be sure that I didn't somehow damage the radio or harness when I took the radio apart.:spin::spin::spin:
  5. Ok, question. I just did the install of the plug and play. Now, I'm not getting any sound out of my speakers. I can tune the radio and play CD's, but I get no sound whatsoever:confused:. I quadruple checked my connections, and everything looks good. But it seems like nothing is being sent to the speakers. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks Wayne
  6. According to the service guy at Timmons Subaru in Long Beach, they aren't sure why this problem occurs. He's only had a couple of people come to him with it. He said that because the radio is made my another company they find it easier to just replace the radio with no questions asked.
  7. Good advice Luminati. Besides, I took it in today, explained the problem, and the service advisor didn't even ask any questions. He looked at the radio and said "yup, it's blank alright". Then he told me they'd order a new radio and let me know when it arrived. Sounds pretty simple.
  8. So this just happened to me last night. I was driving home from a friend's place when the HVAC and radio display started fading in and out. Then the displays went blank completely. I checked today and the HVAC display is back, but the radio display isn't visible. I've tried starting it a couple of times and it doesn't work. Now, my question is when I take it to the dealership, do I mention that I just installed the OEM under-seat sub about a 1 week ago. I didn't have any problems with the install and I hadn't had any problems at all until last night. The sub and radio still work fine despite the fact that the display isn't visible. I don't think the problem's a result of the install, but I know that some service departments will put any and all fault on the owner. What do you guys think? Should I mention the install?
