  1. Was at AWDTuning today to buy the new motor for my Sti and totally spaced about looking to see if your car was back yet.
  2. Gex after seeing your car in person at WCSS last summer I can honestly say you sir have one of the cleanest wagons around! I hope to see you again this summer if I can make it back for vacation.
  3. Nice! I live less than 2 miles away from AWD Tuning. You should let me know when your in town I would like to meet you and see your car.
  4. I ended up wrapping mine with speaker box carpet and they look pretty good. http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt49/SubyStud555/image_zps88b67422.jpg
  5. Damn that sounds scary! I would like to cover them in some sort of material but I haven't found any I like yet. Thanks, some of the parts are newer but not all and I just recently started cleaning it. I will thanks!
  6. They are used for showing off your undercarriage at shows and installing mods/doing maintenance under your car.
  7. So I ventured outside of my usual amateur car show seen and decided to try and compete with the big dogs since I have been doing well in the Subaru world. Well I got my ass kicked at Import Face Off yesterday so I scheduled my stereo build appointment and built some wheel cribs yesterday so I will have a fighting chance. For those of you not in the Pacific Northwest its crazy up here, there are so many badass cars it makes it really hard to win anything. I got some mirrors to go with the cribs as well. So I posted some pictures yesterday in a few threads and someone suggested making a DIY thread for these so here you go. First off determine what size wood you need, I have 18x8 wheels so 2x10's worked best for me and my jack only allows me to get the tires just over 6 inches off the ground so I made my cribs 6 inches high. Cost: Should be around $40 without mirrors depending on where you go. Wheel cribs online are $160+ depending on which ones you get. Materials needed: Two 10ft 2x10's, one 8ft .75"x1.5", a box of 2 1/2 inch wood screws, a couple boxes of 12"x12" mirrors, and a can of what ever color spray paint you want. I chose flat black. Tools Needed: Speed square, pencil, skill saw, tape measure, and a drill with phillips bit. Dimensions: Height 6", Length 14", and the Width of a 2x10 is just over 9". Step 1: Cut your 2x10's into sixteen 14" long pieces. Step 2: Cut your .75"x1.5" into 8 pieces the same width as your 2x10. I cut a few extra http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt49/SubyStud555/20130603_142915_zpse1c2df08.jpg Step 3: Using 2 pieces of 2x10 stack them together and make sure the ends are flush then screw them together using 4 screws, two on each end. Step 4: Add another piece of 2x10 to your other two and flush the ends, screw them together using 4 screws, two on each end. Step 5: Add one last piece of 2x10 to your other three and flush the ends, screw them together using 4 screws, two on each end. You should now have 4 pieces of 2x10 screwed together. Step 6: Using 2 pieces of .75"x1.5" put them on top of your 2x10 one on each end and flush them up then screw each one down with two screws. Step 7: Follow steps 1-6 three more times until you have 4 wheel cribs. Step 8: Paint them and your done. I haven't painted mine yet but here is what they look like on the car. http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt49/SubyStud555/20130603_190920_zps68bb681b.jpg With mirrors. http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt49/SubyStud555/20130603_152722_zps862f3a03.jpg
